Easy to install as long you're careful. I suggest read manual of your laptop and watch youtube videos on upgrades. I have brought similar 8GB before but wasn't enough it suppose to be 12GB but runs on 9GB as I found out Windows likes to claim about 5GB for cache. (Check in task manager). I decided to make final RAM upgrade while I still can. Performance wise it runs okay, I don't use my laptop to play games and migrated it all to handheld console instead focus my attention on coding, apps development, digital painting and possibly make my own music. 20GB is max I can upgrade for my 6 years+ old plus laptop and there only one slot. I used the crucial software to check compatibility first as I remember my first time of installing new RAM in my first laptop end up with bad case of BSOD.
