I had ordered a different zester a few months ago but its not very sharp and doesn't do its job. So I decided to order this one based on it's lower price and I really really love it. I have used it with garlic and ginger and even frozen chilly peppers. Keep them frozen then zest them to add a hint of spice to your dishes. Just watch your fingers as with all zesters.

What a beautiful microplane/zester! I will be using it a TON at my job. It's perfect, sharp, and it even looks cool. I'm glad I made the choice to go with this one, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I would inwardly groan every time a recipe called for lemon or lime zest. Gathering citrus zest was always such a pain. Who knew I was just using the wrong tool. I used to use a hand cheese greater with a super fine grate on it. First of all, getting any significant amount of zest would take a forever and secondly, the zest itself would be a super oily mushy mess. I always felt like I ended up with more zest on surfaces where I didn't need it and never where it needed to be.This zester is fast and efficient. It is also very sharp, which is why I am very glad that it came with a cover. A little brush also was shipped with the zester. That right there was the icing on the cake. I can't tell you how many dish sponges have become victims to my graters. Pretty nice product, especially for the money. It works really well, has a great easy grip handle, the grating blades are very sharp . And it comes with a nice protective cover for storage and a small brush to clean it.

I have owned a few zester/graters before, but none of them stand up to this zester from Mr. CookWare. I really am loving this product especially when it helps me to make great tasting food and drinks with citrus in them. I have used this product with lemonade so far and it makes the lemonade taste so much better with the lemon zest inside. This product does have a cover to it in order to be able to reach into drawers to get the zester without cutting or damaging your hand. The cover feel like a heavy plastic, but there has not been an issue with getting the cover back on when I was done with using the zester. I really love that this product did have a cleaning brush to get the particles out easier than trying to just scrub on the zester while washing it. Washing the zester is really easy especially if there is no particles in the holes that allows the zest to fall into whatever kind of food/drink you’re needing the zest to go into it. The zester is not flimsy at all and does stand up to rough skin on lemons and limes. Other zesters that I had was not able to do as well with rough skin without feeling like the zester was going to break. The zester is stainless steel, which makes zesting really easy. I could not ask for a better product. I really do recommend this zester as that it’s very easy to use. You literally can see this zester in a dark drawer especially with the handle being yellow. The zester won’t even cut your hand as the grating part is not sharp at all. I got this product for free or at a heavy discount in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
