It was inexpensive, it's well made and does the job. I use it for my kayaks extending beyond my truck bed

Great value
Don't know how we lived without it. Makes hauling lumber easy and secure. Easy to assemble and use. Definitely has paid for itself. Highly recommend.

Strong, but give yourself extra time to add shims
The media could not be loaded. This seems like it's pretty strong and should work well. Our "new" item arrived clearly used (scuffs dings, embedded mud, and missing parts), so give yourself extra time if you're going to need to pick up those parts or arrange for a replacement. As everyone else has mentioned, there is a *lot* of play when the pieces are assembled, so if you don't want to sound like you have rattling chains in the back of your vehicle, it's well worth investing in some shimsPro tip: when hauling kayaks or other things that might get scratched, I like to slice a pool noodle down the side and duct tape it on. (Stole the idea from a friend)

Not wide enough for plywood or drywall
Maximum width of 47" with spreader bars fully extended. All they needed to do was add a half inch on each side. It's a problem for the user to do that because the amount of insert is to small.
