Angeles National Forest Map (National Geographic Trails Illustrated Map, 811)

Exactly what I expected

Great map & the coating on it makes it durable.

Unlike previous Trails Illustrated maps I've used, this one is terrible. First off, it labels trails as "hiking", "horse and hiking", and "biking" in a completely arbitrary way; all trails in the national forest except for the PCT and those in wilderness areas are open to biking.If you are a hiker know that the map is incomplete and inaccurate. An example of its incompleteness is that it only shows 2 of the many trails in the Crystal Lake Recreation Area. An example of its inaccuracy is its failure to show Vincent Gulch Trail extending all the way to Vincent Gap (a terrible error if you are using this to plan loops). Wilderness Boundaries are also inaccurate in places and it doesn't cover/include the trailheads that access the Cucamonga Wilderness from its east end.I'm super disappointed with this map. The Forest Service Map of the Angeles National Forest is more complete and accurate and would be a better map if you wanted a large overview map to plan routes in the San Gabriel Mountains.
