These are the real deal! Very pleased with the quality.

Some replacement sash locks have a hard time locking old windows whose wood frames aren't exactly flush. This one, though, works. The angle of the curved rim on the turned portion gives it enough flexibility to grab an imperfectly positioned lock base.

Holes lined up with existing 45 year old hardware.

Old window of mine was missing the original sash lock, so I looked on here for some replacements. Other, cheaper ones were criticized for being too cheap - easy to bend, break, etc. Bought this one and it worked great. It's pretty solid and worked perfectly - recommended for sure.

Fit exactly like the original 1960’s ones. Did not have to drill new holes!!

I bought this to replace two window locks on older windows- the locks had been painted over and discolored; they were almost 50 years old. These new sash locks were simple to install- the screw holes aligned perfectly with the old lock. The windows in my dining room bay window were instantly transformed from dated to pretty by this simple change. The locks are solid, shiny brass and look great. SO happy with this small "home improvement"!

This is a nice piece of metal, not flimsy like cheaper versions. Even though it's described as solid brass, it does have a glossy layer that scrapes off where the lock halves rub together, leaving a slightly yellower substrate. I'm no metallurgist; not sure why "solid" brass would have multiple players. Will that core layer will oxidize over time or anything? We'll see. The lock is substantial enough that I imagine such damage would only be cosmetic.

Bought 5 of these sets to replace missing locks on several windows in my older home with wood frame windows. They worked so well and looked so good that I bought another 12 to replace the ones that still had the old ones!
