Sunbeam Heating Pad for Fast Pain Relief, XX-Large Ultra-King XpressHeat, 6 Heat Settings with Auto-Shutoff, Beige/Taupe, 14 x 27 Inch

I have chronic illnesses that can cause a significant amount of pain and inflammation. This fall I was proactive about stocking up on gear before I needed it—in this heating pad’s case, about three weeks before it came in handy. I’ve never had a problem with Sunbeam heating pads, and I own four of them, one of which is 15 years old and looks like new. This one (burgundy XXL) is the largest of my cohort and it comes in handy for, say, SI joint dysfunction on the back and GI pain on front, or when you get up and the cat steals his half of it when the instructions say not for animal use. The heat settings are great—even 1, the lowest, is nice, and the intervals between them are even. I also have the Renue XL shoulder wrap and one like this but XL—they start out warm but sort-of cool half a level after about 10 minutes. This one, the XXL (and my original small one) stay at the same temp until they go/are turned off. I like that this one has a stay on/2h timer option as well. I use a spray bottle for moist heat, which is really quite nice—it does make a difference! When I first ordered this I slightly regretted not getting one that is the soft plush and heating element in one. This one is the pad with a plush washable cover. However, I can imagine this way has more longevity than washing the whole thing. On both the XXL and XL rectangular pads I have, the covers stay pretty much in place; the actual heated part of the pad has come along way from the small vinyl-covered one that bunches and slides everywhere in its blue one-snap cover.

It is wonderful for my sore back that I hurt about a year ago. I do not like to take much pain medicine and have to rely on ibuprofen, which doesn't always work. I am super sensitive to cold, so this is a huge relief for my back. Thank God that this works. It also keeps my entire body warm during the cold weather. Thank you for making such a wonderful product.

It stopped working!!! Good comfortable heating pad for those wanting relief for about 4 or 5 months before it dies.... its garbage

Like the wide size. Heats quickly and cuts off automatically I use it frequently but my cat thinks it belongs to her! A++ seller.

This heating pad did not get hot. 😩 I was so excited to buy it because it's the original brand that I have purchased for myself and others for years. I had been in search of a larger heating pad (at least 33 inches long) because they used to be readily available. I ordered at least three 33inch heating pads (another brand) and had to return those. I decided to stop waisting time and decided to come back to a brand that I knew, even though it wasn't as long as I would have liked it to be. I was extremely disappointed. This brand is like all of the rest now. It feels like cheap cardboard, it barely has any flexibility to it, and it doesn't even get hot. The first time I turned it on, it got lukewarm. From there, nothing. I'd say don't waste your money on this. I just don't even know where to buy quality heating pads any longer. Maybe I'll try ordering from a store.

I like the fact that I do not have to “babysit” the control to keep the pad warming. You have a leave on option, which I really prefer. It heats up within a few seconds, that’s great! I use it mostly near the end of the bed to keep my frigid feet warm. It’s wonderful! This is the third one I have purchased over many years.

I've used a lot of heating pads over the years. This particular Sunbeam model has been the best. The controls have a wide range, the pads last for years. The large size spread out reaches from my shoulders down to my hips. Last summer I had sciatic nerve problems and spent every night laying on a pad just like this so I could get up in the morning.

This heating pad has several good points: size is great, long enough to cover the whole back. It's stylish and has a good length cord, and I liked the soft cover. And it has a "stay on" function that I was looking for. Unfortunately the Other 'main thing' I need is a pad that gets hot, and this one doesn't, even on it's highest setting it's just a good warm. It would be helpful if there was a temperature chart of the different settings.
