Upholstery First Option Cushion Wrap. Open 54" Wide x 15 Yards Silk Film: Easily Wrap and Install Foam into Cushion Cover

I washed the cover of a futon and then had the issue of putting it back on. A YouTube video showed me how to wrap the foam mattress in this thin plastic film and then holding the end tight around the nozzle of my vacuum, ... voila! The foam becomes much smaller and harder and easy to place in the mattress cover. Let the air in and the foam inflates into its normal size including right into the corners. Easy Peasy. Better to have more than one person, though. Makes it easier and fun.

Works as stated. A must for getting cushions back into covers. A bit tricky unfolding first time using ( start from edge). But a breeze afterwards. Actually sort of fun shrinking cushions down. Not very noisy so I left material in cushion for protection.

Why didn't I know about this sooner?! Let the reupholstering begin.

There were no instructions included on how to use this product, hence the four stars. I had 13 cushions to cover. I tried to figure out how to use the silk cushion wrap myself and made a mess of things. After I saw a DIY video on how to use it, it was fairly easy. It compressed my foam cushion so much it easily fit into the cushion case. Really saves the stretching of fabric/zippers. I recommend watching a video before trying it your self, or maybe the distributor could include illustrated instructions, or instructions period.

I was skeptical when I received this product as I didn’t think it would work. Boy was I wrong! I was able to insert 5” thick foam in 5 cushion covers for the same amount of time it took to fill one without the film. Amazing product

Sofa cushions

I was excited about this as I thought it would solve my problem of using regular foam for my patio set - by putting this on and keeping it on, it would waterproof them. Well, I'm sure it would but what happened was that it created a balloon like effect in my cushions, filling with air and then when you sat on them, the air would slowly release, only to fill back up again after you got up. I tried cutting holes in them and it still happened. Therefore, I had to remove the plastic wrap. I am giving it 3 stars for making it easy to get the cushions into the covers but I wouldn't have paid this much money for that. However, if you aren't looking for life preservers filled with air, don't buy these for waterproofing. I didn't find any warning or remedy of this.....

I made a set of cushions for the cabin in my son’s boat. They are each a unique shape and the longest is 52”. The silk was think enough to provide a sealed wrap and the cushion slid easily into a case made of Sunbrella fabric and waterproof mesh.I watched a YouTube video and had a helper to turn the shop vac on and off. One of the most satisfying products I have ever used.
