Somewhat disappointing book 2
The first book in this series was a fun read, and I was interested to see what would happen next. This book was a disappointment, though. There are jarring contradictions between the two books in terms of plot, timelines, and character development. Timelines and backstories don't make sense, central plot points hinge on tired cliches, and phrases meant to add humor are overused and derogatory rather than funny. This book directly contradicts a number of things that happened in the first book, though it tries to cover some of these with revisionist explanations (oh, he didn't mean "love" when he said it the first time around...). Another example: in the first book, the Winter Prince's true name was a tightly kept secret, using the cliche of names = power over someone. But in this book, not only does our main character, Summer, know and use his name regularly, so do his other friends. This issue of true names doesn't come up with anyone else, including the new rival Spring Prince. The importance placed on the Winter Prince's name in the first book is seemingly gone without explanation or acknowledgment. In this book, we get two new cliches: The bond between the Winter Prince and Summer isn't truly completed until they "consummate" it. And supposedly, despite the Winter Prince and Summer Princess having found each other as "mates" and been in a relationship previously (some number of years ago? the timelines don't really make sense), they never once actually had sex? This also contradicts things that were said in the first book.Edited to add: the obsession Summer develops with the WP saying he loves her--this is another tired cliche, and one that doesn't mesh with what we know of Summer's character at this point. The continued use of references to Summer being from the real/mundane world to try and add humor and personality to her character--Ruby, too--does not work well, either. Throwing pop culture references and jokes into a fantasy novel is tricky, and it falls flat more often than not in these books. I'm especially tired of reading the phrase "like a horny hooker" to describe Summer feeling attraction/desire, for one. It's not funny--it reinforces an idea that women who accept their sexuality are bad, using a derogatory term for sex workers to describe these feelings or behaviors. It's probably just a turn of phrase the author doesn't realize she uses so often, but... think about it a bit, please.I wanted to like this book, and I do enjoy the author's other books. I wanted this series to live up to the potential I saw in book 1. I hope the third installment gets back on track and picks up without dragging the central relationship out too long or getting buried in cliches and revisionism. Honestly, this book feels like an afterthought--like the author is spending more time on other projects and rushing this series on the side. Better to take more time and get the revisions done before publishing!

Are you not entertained?!
I can’t believe I have to wait til March now for more. Dont let that put you off though, read this series. Who are you kidding? You can’t even help yourself. This installment of sweet sweet torture follows Summer in her second year at Evermore. Were you hoping for peace and acceptance like I was? Well, don’t hold your breath. This year may probably be harder than last. We got new a Foe up in here.Don’t be too worried, Eclipsa has turned Summer into a badass and she is stronger than ever now and experiencing some nice new gifts. The tension between her and Valerian is nearly unbearable. Every scene I was smiling like a full, probably even blushing.I don’t even know what else to say. I am not a great reviewer but this book deserves all the reviews. I AM HERE FOR IT.

Audrey gave me all the feels
I absolutely LOVED this sequel to Evermore Academy: Winter. Summer continues to try to understand and survive in the world of Fae, while so many of the Evermore clearly love her (sarcasm at it's finest). With Mack still at her side, Summer has to find a way to survive Year 2. Enter the Spring Prince, who is the worst! The Winter Prince and his friends are also there to lend assistance. I really love Eclipsa in this one! My emotions were all over the place during this read. So many twists I didn't see coming! Character growth is fantastic! You can, of course, count on Ruby to help a girl out and provide some laughs! I cannot wait for Evermore Academy: Summer! I highly recommend this book!

Book2 perfection
Book two is even more perfect then book one. The budding romance a new and even more formidable person to hate. The mystery plot thickens. Oh and the adventure is an even wilder ride. Reading this book really brought out the emotions inside me happy, sad and flaming. Audrey is such an amazing author who brings new worlds alive. I have read al of her books and if you enjoy epic fantasies then she is the author for you.

So intense
Once again, the author creates an intense masterpiece that you just don’t want to put down. After the introduction that refreshes your memory of book 1, the ride just does not stop and I didn’t have any idea what was going to happen. Year two will leave you realizing that the troubles Summer experienced in year one were just a cakewalk. I cannot wait for year three.

Too repetitive and immature
The first book was enjoyable but now the second book is more same old and same old. Very repetitive and cliche. There is no chemistry but repeating the same corny lines and giving lame nicknames and these characters are supposed to be centuries old? Could have been written a bit more maturely and not so cringeworthy.

A must read sequel
I loved spring! Summer really grew and was able to kick some major ass, but still has a lot to learn of course...especially with a new villain at the academy. Ruby as usual provides a lot of funny moments. This book answers some major questions from the first but leaves plenty new ones for the next installment. I loved the trials in this book and the friendships that continued to be tested and grew from it. Jump right into this rollercoaster of a book!

Eagerly awaiting book 3!
Wow! I LOVED this book! So many twists and turns and little bits coming out, that connected with little hints in the first book!Bonds are tested, made and then broken and the new seasonal court heir is a douche! My view of the Winter Prince changes so much in this book and both him and Summer see so much growth. This is only the second book of author's books I've read (the first being the first in this series) and I am loving her writing. Just the right amount of heat and chemistry for me and good characters with depth and a plot line with twists and turns that just when you think you understand it, throws you a curve ball!Eagerly awaiting book 3!!! And hoping it may come a bit earlier as 8 months is a long time to wait!
