Avantree Ensemble – Wireless TV Headphones for Seniors with Clear Voice, Charging Dock, 35h Playtime, Comfortable Fit, Works with Optical, AUX & Bluetooth TVs

I bought these for my Dad who lives in a retirement flat and was worried he had his tv up too loud for the neighbours. Really straight forward to fit. The volume control on the headset is a little small/fiddly for his arthritic fingers so easier for him when he takes them off to do it but fine for most people. He also says they squeeze his ears even with the headset expanded for a larger head but I found them super comfy - I think he finds anything different takes a little time to adjust to so they'll be fine with practice. Can be set up to have others hear the tv and control the volume separately or to have the sound just in the headset. They also link to other devices so ideal for tablets, music etc. I would definitely recommend them for use and ease of set up as well as sound quality.

I was dreading replacing my old Sony RF headphones, but these are far superior. Unlike my old Sony, this set has an internal battery. It says it lasts something like 35 hours. I have not reached the limit yet as I put them on the recharging dock after each use. Have no idea whether this is good for the battery or not. The sound is of high quality containing good bass and clear clarity. The connectivity is superb, allowing for headphone jack or S/PDIF (or both). Personally I prefer the latter which I feel gives higher quality sound. The headphones have a rocker-type digital volume changer built into the right side which is convenient. In short, very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend - only slight concern is I do not like built-in batteries in general; my old Sony pair were powered by rechargeable AA batteries which I could replace when their capacity diminished. Really hoping I do not experience battery problems in the future. If so I will re-visit this review. PS - If you have a problem when using with a Fire stick like I did, I resolved it by going into TV advanced audio settings and switching digital out to PCM instead of Auto. Have no idea how or why this works, but it did for me. Thank you Reddit!

Good value, easy to use. Replacing phones onto charger can be fiddly, make you position them just right and red light stays on while charging

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Very easy to set up and use. Sound very good and earphones extremely comfortable to wear.

Had these Jan 26. You need to download the manual by scanning a QR code and this gives you all you need to know to set these up. I have an old Sony TV and tried the optical cable but couldn't get them to work so I used the AUX cable. Now, I have hearing aids in and got a lot of static through the left ear so took that aid out and now get perfect sound quality. I have some hearing in my left ear so the removal of the hearing aid hasn't impacted on my hearing through the headphones. The headphones are comfortable to wear. I don't have them on for hours just to watch a programme or two on the TV so can't tell how long they last. I then stand them in the transmitter charger and they are ready for the next time. I can definitely recommend these headphones.

Bought these headphones in September 2024. As soon as I opened the box, I realised that they were very flimsy and very delicate. Consequently, I've treated them very carefully. Unfortunately, they have dropped to pieces after just five months and five days. The headphones are comfortable, always connect straight away and the charging dock makes them easy to charge and to store when not in use. The problem is with the delicate pieces of the rotating ear cup that join with the head band. The construction is just too weak and weedy. So, if your'e looking for headphones, look elsewhere. Update April 2025. After posting my initial review, I was contacted by Avantree Support. They very kindly offered me a replacement headset free of charge. Kate from Avantree made the whole replacement process very easy and the new headphones were with me in under 24 hours. The new headphones appear to be of better construction and more robust than the originals. A big thank you to Kate and Avantree support. Customer support as good as this is fantastic.

I bought these 8 months ago now and I expected them to maybe be a bit worse on quality, and not last very long. These really have shocked me. I bought them for my dad last Christmas as he's hard of hearing and always has the TV up crazy loud. I didn't expect him to like them but he's used them every single day, for the majority of the day, for the last 7 and a half months. Absolutely no sign of wear and these have never had any issues, charging, connection or otherwise. They charge just fine overnight and last the entire day, and are easy enough for my 72 year old dad to use every day. The volume is also really good, it can go to crazy levels. I don't personally use these but I am astounded at how great they are, my dad loves them and they last ages.

I dont normally write reviews, however I felt I should for this product. I purchased these headphones because I had previously bought 2 different makes and they didn't perform as I expected. But these Avantree are perfect for my needs. I am an elderly lady who is extremely hard of hearing. And I have struggled for a long time not being able to hear the TV. After buying several brands that didn't perform and broke after a short time. I plumped for the Avantree although a little bit more expensive they are well worth the money I have used them for a little time now and find the sound quality is great. They are so easy to use the docking station is great. I cannot fault these head phones in every aspect. To me they are perfect for my needs. I highly recommend them. I must add I did have a very small glitch with them after a short time so I contacted Avantree and the service they provided was amazing, they responded so quickly. and they resolved this issue really fast.

I have to say, I am pretty thrilled with this product and its customer service. My mom recently returned my last TV wireless headset a week ago, and as much as I would have liked to return the product to simply get my 100$ back, I can’t, bc I have been so impressed! I’d rather sell the other headset online and keep This product. The product itself is top notch. Easy install, don’t have to be a tech genius, sound clarity is fantastic, the value for the money is certainly there. I purchased the product bc I work from home and I wanted my daughter to be able to watch tv without me getting in trouble at work. Success! However, I did notice that when the headset is in use the tv still has sound playing. Although that was unexpected, it’s no big deal. As long as she mutes the Tv we are all good. Before this tired mama could take the time to read the manual to see if there is a way around this, BOOM, I get a wonderfully unexpected email from the seller asking if I have any questions. Amazing! I was able to ask them about this and they gave valuable solutions. I highly recommend this product and company!!!

The audio is clear and good but in some low quality videos I can hear some weird noises, it’s loud but maybe in newer versions I’d expect even louder sound

Der Kopfhörer ist absolut klasse und einfach in der Anwendung. Habe schon das zweite Mal bestellt weil ich so zufrieden bin. Leider habe ich durch ein Missgeschick den Hörer kaputt gemacht. Und den gleichen wieder gekauft aus Überzeugung der Qualität und Leistung.
