A Reliable and Versatile Deep Fryer - Perfect for Turkey and More!
After reading various reviews about this deep fryer, I was initially hesitant about making a purchase. However, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! I've used it twice now to fry turkeys, and both times, the results were absolutely perfect. Some reviewers mentioned that the skin on the turkey wasn't crispy, but I found that following the instructions carefully led to excellent results every time. The deep fryer is easy to use and heats up quickly, allowing for efficient cooking. One of the standout features of this deep fryer is its versatility. Not only can it be used for deep frying, but it also doubles as a boiler and steamer. This makes it an excellent investment for those who enjoy cooking a variety of dishes. Additionally, the drain valve makes it incredibly easy to drain the oil and clean the fryer after use. This is a huge plus, as cleaning up after deep frying can often be a messy and time-consuming process. Overall, I highly recommend this deep fryer to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile cooking appliance. The excellent results I achieved with my turkeys, combined with its ability to boil and steam, make it well worth the price. Don't be put off by negative reviews that may not accurately reflect the product's quality - follow the instructions, and you'll be delighted with the results!

Excellent alternative to gas fryer
This fryer is phenomenal. I made some wings in it and they turned out amazing. This was just a test run for me. Plan to use it for a Thanksgiving turkey. Very well designed. I especially like the Spicket where you can empty the oil. I used a regular gas powered fryer before and was always worried. I was gonna burn the house down. This one resolves that issue and you can cook indoors very easily.

Mostly awesome cooker
I love this thing apart from two things. First, the power cord. It's incredibly short, but the instructions say to NOT use an extension cord.....You pretty much have no choice. Unless you want this thing on the counter creating steam, removing your wallpaper, you need to use an extension cord. I used a 12 gauge cord, 25 feet long, and had no issues. I wouldn't use a 14 gauge cord, as that may be too thin, and many of those are quite long. Second negative thing: The metal tub the oil sits in has a moderately sharp edge on the top. At some point, you have to take the tub out to clean it. It would be nice if it had a couple of handles on there, or some fairly prominent indentations, so the tub could be removed more easily. This edge is knurled, but not knurled enough. We're not talking razor sharp or anything, but I think that could be designed a little better. Other than that, the thing worked great. One caveat: Subtract the weight of the neck, giblets, and extra fat off your turkey for the final weigh of the turkey. Also, use the minimum time cooking during the cooking window. You have to pull the turkey up out of the oil and let it sit for awhile after you've cooked it to let extra oil drain off, and to cool it down a little. While you are doing this, the heat from the 375º oil is still radiating up and continuing to cook the turkey. We made two overdone birds before we figured that out. Cook the bird with less time than the recommendation; test it with a good meat thermometer. You can always put it back in the oil for a few minutes if you need to, but I'm not thinking you're going to need to.

Great tool for many different events
I have had 3 of these, love using for frying a turkey and steaming crab legs for seafood boils. This is my 3rd because family love using it and forget to give it back not because something went wrong.

These are the best and safest fryers in my openion!
This is my second Masterbuilt 3-in1Electric Turkey Fryer. After at lease 5 years, give or take a year or so. When they first came out I purchased my first one which still works great today. This is my second one and I purchased it just to have as a spare or cook two turkeys of whatever I'm cooking at the same time. next year my plans are to do something different like fry a second turkey in or I may go out on a limb, for the first time I've tried, and do a low country boil in the second for the seafood lovers. If your thinking about and comparing them I would buy this make again hands down. When I was younger we always used the open flame propane pot cookers, and after this I can't go back because "IMO" they are much safer! They take a little extra time heat up, espically when it's cool outside, but once it's ready you just slowy put the turkey in close the lid and set the timer for the weight and suggested cooking time and leave it alone until the cooking time has lapsed. I just can't say enough how much I recommend the Masterbuilt 3-in1. "Please Note" I am not trying to speak badly of the open flame propane pot cookers because with proper use and extra caution they work great. Always make sure your turkeys are dry as possible inside & out regardless of whatever cooker you choose... Water/moister and hot cooking oil will flame up in a second, and the most common mistake many people make! Just pat the inside & outside down before preparing the seasons to rub it down with. I put mine in the refigerator in a pan on a cooking stand, or sometimes called a beer can cooking stand, overnight the night before cooking. "Just a suggestion that has worked great for me".

Best thing ever!
The Masterbuilt® 3-in-1 10 Liter XL Electric Fryer has been an excellent addition to my kitchen, offering versatility and efficiency. Here’s my detailed experience: Pros: Versatile Cooking Options: The 3-in-1 design allows for frying, steaming, and boiling, making it perfect for a wide range of recipes. Large Capacity: The 10-liter capacity is ideal for cooking large meals, whether it’s frying a turkey or boiling seafood. Great for families and gatherings. Efficient Heating: Heats up quickly and maintains consistent temperature, ensuring evenly cooked food every time. Easy to Use: The controls are intuitive, and the built-in drain valve makes cleanup quick and hassle-free. Durable Build: The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and long-lasting, holding up well after multiple uses. Allows me to cook my turkey in doors! Cons: Bulky Size: The fryer’s large capacity comes with a tradeoff—it takes up a significant amount of counter or storage space. Oil Requirement: It requires a substantial amount of oil for frying, which might not be ideal for smaller batches. Temperature Display: A digital display for precise temperature control would be a nice improvement.
