Great versatile product.
This is a great product!! Yes it smells funky like band aids, but it wasn't that bad. Smell went away once I primed. I used this for a kitchen cabinet project. I mixed it with warm water per the instructions and used a paintbrush (going against the grain) to fill oak grain. Let it dry and sanded it off. It filled most of the grain - if I had done a second pass probably would've filled it all. In retrospect I made it too thick though and questioned all my life choices while sanding it off for hours.I also used it for areas of repair in the cabinets and it worked really well. I recommend warming it up in your hand first - made it very easy to work with. This will make DIY purists cry but I had a really jacked up area of window trim - lots of paint uneven and dings etc. I sanded it and then took a little of the timbermate, warmed it in my hand and added some water to thin it - then used a putty knife to apply it as a sort of skim coat to level it out. This is cheating but I didn't want to replace the trim or strip it. It actually worked better than I expected! Sanded it down and it is smooth and looks a lot better.Easy to clean up (it's water based) and paints really well (I bought natural for white cabinets and trim).Takes a little getting used to - but is pretty easy (and I'm not experienced at projects like this).

Best woodfiller
Good product funky to use adding water should not result in a smooth filler!

Best there is
I bought a big tub of this 5 years ago to fill the Oak grain on our kitchen cabinets when I redid the kitchen. Took some, thinned and used a putty knife to apply. Quick sand and perfection. Also the best all around wood filler I have ever used. The application and standability and fantastic.Yes, absolutely REAKS of bandaids, like really strong. It's non toxic and the smell goes away once dry so just deal with it :)

One Of The Best Wood Fillers On The Market
Timbermate is the best wood filler I have ever used. Properly applied it can disguise holes, dents, and other imperfections in woodworking projects.

It Shrinks
It shrinks to a noticeable degree. I primed and painted a gloss color over MDF with filled pin holes and they shrank after the paint dried. Don't waste your time with this if you care about shrinkage. Stick to 2-part fillers like Bondo.

product appears to be old
Color is white, even though label says natural. Shows up on light colored woods, and does not take a stain when dry.container was quart size and product was about the consistency of latex caulk (cured). instructoins state to add water and mix. there is no way you are going to mix this product. I was agle to dis a small amount out of container and apply. If this is typical of the product, I will not purchase again.

great woodfiller - my go to product
I use this woodfiller in my shop all the time - once you take the cap off it spray a little water inside to avoid it drying out.
