Laneige Original Essence White Plus Renew 40ml

Pleasant scent and absorbs quickly. I've only been using this product for 2 weeks so cannot testify to its effectivity on brightening.

Too thick, hard to absorb quickly by skin. From my experience, quality skin care products should be quickly absorb.

I really like this product so far. It's a sort of milky serum and I like the way it smells. I haven't been using it long enough yet to see any major results but my skin doesn't break out from it or turn red which for me is a huge deal! I have very sensitive combo/oily skin and I am extremely cautious when making a skincare purchase. I heard wonderful things about this brand and decided to try it. I apply this essence morning and night. My make up goes on just as normal over it and when I wake up after using it in my PM routine my skin looks really happy and refreshed. It could be a combination of some other products I recently added into my routine, including the Laneige water sleeping mask which I highly recommend. But for now adding this into my routine seems to be working for me :) I will be purchasing again!

Good whitening serum it make my skin 1 shade lighter and fade of brown spot as well.

I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now. Honestly, I am not seeing a significant improvement. Maybe it works better on acne scars rather than sun spots. To be fair, I have tried quite a few spot fading serum/essence/cream that claimed to work, but I have yet to find one that actually works. However, I will keep using this bottle because I think it hydrates my skin pretty well. If and when I have achieved the desired results, I will edit my review posted today. 11/19/13:pI am 35. Combination to dry skin. Very thin epidermis. I have learned the best way to keep the spots from developing is prevention. Use sunblock containing titanium oxide and/or zinc oxide. I gave this product a 3 stars because I have been a loyal Laneige customer for years now. They are my go-to products when my skin is misbehaving. Some of their products are a bit sticky, but it really works the dry and flaky spots! Use at night if you prefer. Use mineral foundation to tone down the oil as needed during the day.

It takes a little bit more time to see the result and you do have to continue using it. In the past, I jumped between this one and another essence so the benefits from this essence must had been diminished. But now, as I use it more often, I am able to see the whitening effect little bit better. It does do its job.
