I ordered this item on the 18th (late at night) and received it on the 23rd, no issues with shipping, speedy! Don't be concerned with the "3 - 4 days additional processing time". Order came in two rather large boxes, and yes, this is heavy! Mr. UPS was kind enough to put in right inside my house for me. I put this together in about an 1 1/2, very stress free. The people who will find this hard to put together are those that chose not to read instructions. They will get frustrated. No issues at all, directions very clear. I ended up using a level when putting on the backing so no problems with that either.Is this a fabulous piece of heirloom furniture? Um, no. But it also doesn't cost what a fab piece will cost! For those that are mad because it is mdf, bah humbug! The description never states it is solid wood; it is a very nice, fairly inexpensive buffet. Plus, in a few years if I am over it, I can get rid of it and not feel bad. Also, it is very hard to find ALL black furniture - most is two tone, cherry top, oak, etc. This is nice and all black and matches my all black counter height dining table (another difficult find).Very sturdy, no issues. Doors close nicely, the added magnets are a nice touch. Drawers glide smoothly. I also like how the backing has a support piece going down the back so it isn't too hard to get it level and plumb.No special tools needed but make sure you have a drill, otherwise this will be tedious. No problems at all for one person to put this together. Only thing that was tricky was attaching the door to the buffet with one hand. It is do-able, but I broke down and asked my nanny to hold the door for me to get the screws started. Again, this was done by one person (a chick) in a little less than 1 1/2 hours at a leisurely pace. Looks great. No regrets. Excellent value.

This Buffet table would be perfect but it came with a damaged piece of wood that is visible in the finished product. It was fairly easy to build and much better quality than your typical Ikea furniture. It looks great with my dining table and the color is nice. Too bad there is no quality control on what goes in the box.

This is the first review I have ever written and I buy from Amazon weekly. After reading the (mostly) great reviews, we made the mistake and purchased this buffet. It's terrible quality, I'm actually embarrassed we spent the money on it. This is our first big Amazon failure. It completely SWAYS from side to side... I don't even know if we'll be able to use it as is. Thank goodness my husband is so handy, he will probably come up with something so we will be able to salvage it. Do not waste your money, this is such a piece of crap.

This has been on my wish list forever, and when I saw it for half price on homedecorators.com, I finally got to purchase it. it did was not that easy. anyone assembling this in under 2 hours by themselves is a liar and probably paid to review this. The cam connectors (those big circle things commonly found in ikea furniture where you pop in and lock around a screw) are sooooo cheap. They break so easy. The manual says to screw in those can screws in tight, well guess what, if you do they aint long enough. So shotty construction there. Home Depot sells replacements which aren't the exact size but they work. (never had a problem with ikea cam screws, these are s*** plastic)the doors have a huge gap in between them and the two middle doors cant open all the way due to hitting each other even when one side is closed. Really annoyed at that the most, they only needed the center piece to be a touch wider....but no. The two center doors only open about 3/4 the way. More door issues, they drilled the magnet that stops the door in too far. so your doors aren't flush, they look like \/. Redrilling and pulling the stopping magnet out fixes this. Absolutely not installed wrong, checked it plenty of times.It looks nice otherwise. its pretty much black, with very little red color.

The credenza arrived on-time, in 2 well-packaged boxes, and everything was in excellent condition. All of the components/hardware were clearly labeled and holes were pre-drilled. While it did take a few hours to completely assemble (partly because I was taking my time and didn't want to rush), the instructions were fairly easy to follow. The only part that was a bit unclear in the instructions was the hinge assembly, but once I figured it out the doors were installed with no problem. People who previously reported issues with the doors may have installed the hinges the wrong way, which is what I did at first. Using a drill was a huge time saver as there are LOTS of screws! Like other reviewers mentioned, it was wobbly up until the point when I screwed on the backing at the end. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase! The credenza offers a lot of storage, looks great in my kitchen/family room, AND you can't beat this price (I bought it on sale with free shipping)... My sister even asked if I bought it from Pottery Barn!
