Smart piece of kit that sometimes has a mind of its own!
It’s a lovely piece of kit with Great battery life but sometimes it feels like it has a life of its own. You can be happily filming and very occasionally it will decide to flip the camera. Very bizarre but it seems to be making a judgement influenced by the metadata from the phone’s gyroscope… In fact that is the major weakness of the device. Because it is linked to the phone mounted on it (by an app and Bluetooth) it’s very dependent on the info it’s getting - which seems to be hampered as the phone loses charge. So a fully charged phone and a fully charged osmo = pretty damn cool results. But keep an eye on that phone and make sure you have all “battery saver” options turned OFF and charge the phone as often as you can and you should avoid most of the erratic behaviour!

An easy to use gimbal
I bought this to replace another gimbal that was faulty from another well known brand. The DJI impressed me as soon as I opened it because of its build quality compared to the one I had returned. It was easy to balance my phone and link to the app. The app itself is easy to use and offers more features than a beginner like myself needs. I am still learning to use it but because there is so much information and tutorials available on line, this has been easy so far.I did look at the new 4 but as the 3 was on offer in the kit with tripod etc for under £90, I thought I would dip my toe with this one first.I came across a video saying this gimbal would work with the Filmic Pro app, an app I had not heard of but I soon discovered how popular this app is. I ran the test app to make sure my phone supported it then bought a copy. I have used it with the gimbal several times and it works perfectly with my Android Poco X phone but I find myself using DJI's own free app most of the time.

Good product at a good price - but beware . . .
It's a good product - as are all DJI products - and the Combo package is definitely the best value for money. But take note of this. Before buying I checked out compatibility with my iPhone - and the answers were far from satisfactory. According to the DJI website, my iPhone SE (1st Generation 2016) does not appear on their compatibility list and is therefore not compatible. However, according to Apple's website, my iPhone SE (1st Generation 2016) actually is compatible - appearing on a list for the DJI Osmos Mobile 3. So who is right? Finding no other information online, and having contacted both companies, the best I could get was roughly "Well, it should work . . . but we can't guarantee it". Anyway, in the end I bought the product and tried it out. Basically, it does work, but not all features work - probably because of advances in both Bluetooth and the DJI Mimo app.

Look, it's a great item, and would be even better if it worked fully with my Note 20 Ultra, zoom didn't work and that was a major blow for me, there were other points but I've forgot now, for older phones, I would say gob for it, you won't be disappointed...

Excellent
Pondered on buying this for a while even had the opportunity to buy cheaper on prime day, should have this gamble is excellent and straightforward if you watch the videos in the app and a few YouTube clips for tips . Care refresh was a little tricky at first but worked once I found the right serial no ( not the one it said was a serial no) but well worth the investment and battery lasts for quite a long period even when you connect your phone to the gimbal to save the phone battery.

Great piece of kit, DJi app lets it down.
What I liked about this was it’s robustness and build quality.The tracking feature in the app is hit and miss, it loses the subject quite often.

Product - Good. Support - Bad.
The product is actually nice to use, I have used it with an android phone and it seems to perform well.Warning, do not pay for dji care or care refresh etc. It appears to be a scam. And support is seriously lacking, going into day 5 and still waiting on a response from them.Item should give you an activation code, it does not, cannot register for care refresh without it.Would advise to buy the item on its own, save your money!Update, DJI responded and it is an Amazon issue. Amazon basically shrugged their shoulders and eventually agreed to a €5 credit which after 3 weeks has still not shown up.

Had probably too much expectations but doe's the job for a bit of more money. Pretty big and heavy for hiking or bike trip but anyway I bought it) still better than many Chinese no name alternative
