Works, after a fashion...
This could well be in the ‘you get what you pay for’ class here with the YORKING Welding Goggles Auto Darkening Solar Powered Glasses. First the negatives: they come in a basic cardboard box, no instructions but obvious as to what it does as there are the basics written on the box. As I opened the box, of the six small black plastic vents, five had worked loose in transit as they rolled out on the floor. Dash, I said. Next I noticed the internal glass plate looked odd. On removing it, I found it was just under ¼ of an inch longer that the frame it was supposed (?) to be in. Not having a glass cutter, I cut a slot in the plastic frame with Dremel tool - not one to give in easy I said to myself plus saving the hassle of sending it back. On getting this far, I noted that in removing the actual darkening unit, the rubber material- of the green coloured mask itself, the green bit - had shrivelled up - see photos. Next as the glass didn’t hold very well in the now cut, but now useable frame, I used a bit of a cable tie to super glue it to retain it. This seems to have worked, next getting the frame back into the said shrivelled up mask. I eventually achieved this greatness, plus I reinstated the vents and super glued them in place - fingers crossed here. However, the positive side being: it works! - It does actually work now as intended. True a bit of faffing about but it saved sending them back plus it does the job, hence my star rating. ps: I like to do my own stunts when possible - or before 'er indoors said I can, but before lunch is ready...

Very good
Very good.. Was a bit dubious when reading reviews but so far brilliant, they have actually improved my welding tbh.. i often tig weld in tight spots and a clumsy helmet makes it a nightmare .. I like the flip up screen meaning no need to remove the goggles to be able to see when not welding. I hope the solar charging keeps going as there’s no battery.. My only grumble is the elastic strap is too short for my head so when stretching it to put in on over my glasses the elastic would pull out from the retaining slots which is very annoying.. My wife sorted it by cutting it in half and sewing a velcro strip between the two halves, now it’s superb..
