Taste homemade
Bought these as a gift and these cookies are amazing. Arrived neatly packaged in a metal tin. Each cookie is pretty large. Taste homemade. They give you a lot of cookies and the metal tin is beautiful as well. Wonderful anniversary, birthday, or occasion gift.

Terrible Cookies
These cookies were awful, the money I paid for these cookies was way over priced. I have found Oatmeal Raisin cookies at Meijer that are far more superior. First these cookies were old, when I tried to break one in half the crumbled into little tiny pieces, they were very dry and I will never purchase this brand again. Oh and here the kicker they won't let you return them so I am out $28.00. They charged $2.33 per cookie and they won't refund you for being stale. 5/23/26 - Update, Amazon did refund my $28.00. Thank you Amazon

Yummy Cookies
These cookies are DELICIOUS! They are soft baked and so don't break apart and crumble like other cookies. Because they are freshly baked and don't have the preservatives you find in store bought cookies, you have to eat it within 2 or 3 days of receiving it or freeze them. I froze them. They thaw easily without losing their "homemade" taste. They are expensive, but well worth it and they make a good gift. I'm going to buy these again, for sure.

Something changed
Something changed with Davids. I'm not sure what happened. I've been buying these cookies for around 5 to 7 years. In the beginning, they came shipped in round tins without the plastic cradle and plastic seal. They were just cookies in a tin with wax paper between the layers. They were very good, as if they were literally just baked before shipping. Everyone who tried them, loved them. The last few times over the last 1-2 years though, each batch I bought was now in a tin, in a plastic container under a plastic film for freshness obviously, but they did not taste the same anymore. Its now as if you are buying supermarket cookies off the shelf somewhere. I dont know if they changed the ingredients or started producing these in bulk and storing them somewhere before finally shipping but there is a very big difference in taste. They are also now less moist it seems to me, they are borderline hard where in the past they had been soft and with a good flavor (Back then you could taste the butter!). In fact, I would argue, your grocery bakery dept cookies are fresher and taste better vs how Davids are today. Davids 6 years ago is another story. So, while they are still good, I cannot say they are worth the cost anymore. 12 large cookies that are on par with Keebler does not really warrant that price point anymore. Not like the David's of old.
