Caterpillar Clarity Premium Performance All Season Replacement Windshield Wiper Blades for Car Truck Van SUV (22 + 22 Inch Pair for Front Windshield))

I didn't know Caterpillar made wiper blades. Since this was the best price, I went for them. 2015 Volvo S60. Driver's side 25" blade. Passenger side 19" blade. Old blades spec as an inch shorter. Old blades pop off easy. New blades can fit 6, yes SIX styles of attaching. The rather ubiquitous J-Hook, and then, via the "OE3 adapter", these additional five: Side Pin, Narrow Side Pin, Pinch Tab, New Pinch Tab, and Top Lock. It took the batter part of 2 hours to figure out "top lock" is what I needed, and how to get it to work. For anything but j-hook, the first thing you do is remove the part that is on the new blade. I recommend before you attach the OE3 adapter to your new blade, your take the OE3 adapter to your car and get a feel for how it attaches. Got it figured out? Good. Next part is just as tricky. Now you need to attach the OE3 adapter to the new blade. This too took me some time. I did not find the instructions very helpful. There's a tab you must push, and it seems down is the way to go. Eventually you will get the blade to slide into the OE3, which you can take out to your car to install.This is the first time I have encountered anything but a J-hook. That style has worked fine for YEARS. Why are there so many variants now? I have no idea. Seems totally unnecessary.This is not the first time I changed blades, but last time I just bought the inserts. Since the Volvo was not designed for a simple insert replacement, that to was a pain. I thought things would be easier this time around. They were, a little. Still a a pain. Hopefully next time will be easier. I hope these Cats last.Can't rate longevity, as they are just installed. This looks to be a quality windshield wiper blade, which I just installed tonight. We will see how long it lasts. The plastic clips which are provided with the new blades are designed to fit a multitude of applications, so it helps if you know which of the designs your vehicle requires. After you determine which of the plastic clips you need, the installation goes much smoother. I highly recommend putting a sponge or rolled up towel on your windshield before beginning. Otherwise, if the metal wiper arm (which is under spring tension) slips out of your hand after you remove the old blade, it will certainly crack your windshield upon impact.

I have been working on cars for years. It seems like all manufacturers are going to the solid beam blades. But even with pricier ones, I still find that the dirt cheap old school style works better. I just feel like these kind of streak more where as the old school ones keep a more even pressure on the rubber. Even with a windshield thats clean and free from debris. *** Also, to all you people giving a one star review saying that they dont work at all and then post a pic of them installed with the yellow plastic shield still covering the rubber.... stop being a dope.

As I opened the package my projected installion seemed to be pretty daunting. However, it was really nothing, I replaced both wipers withing a very few minutes. They look and feel very sturdy but only time will tell on this subject.

These are the best wiper blades on the market. I've tried just about every brand, and these beat them all. Yeah, I was surprised, too. I replaced the wipers on all 4 of my vehicles, my nephew's car, and my aunt's car with these. I even have a spare in the toolbox on my truck, just in case. I will NOT buy any other brand. CAT won me over with the very first set I bought. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Said they would fit my encore but sadly they didn't

If you have to get them quickly go to auto parts store. If you have time order them online and save the money. These work great.
