This ring is beautiful and especially for the price you cannot go wrong. However, the colors of the abalone shell are only fully present in the right kind of lighting. When the lighting is not optimal parts of the shell look almost greyed out. When the lighting is optimal the ring looks gorgeous and no one would guess how much you paid for it. Nevertheless, I'm not sure if this lighting issue is a problem with all abalone or just this ring because I have never bought another abalone ring. I would be curious though because I would love to be able to see all the unique patterns and colors of the abalone in all lighting conditions. Don't get me wrong the ring with its faceted edges and abalone inlay is a one of a kinder. It's just that I don't know if the ring would be as noticeable and beautiful in all lighting conditions. At this price, I would say grab one even if the ring has this problem because you really can't go wrong.

This was the perfect ring for my fiancé. Size is perfect and It looks just as beautiful in person as online. My only problem is as soon as I opened it the wood slid right out of the ring. Hopefully it’s a simple fix because the wedding is in 11 days.

I was looking for a frugal wedding band. Barely over $20 for this ring is a steal. I saw jewelry stores trying to sell basic tungsten carbide rings for $300-500.I believe the silver option is uncoated tungsten carbide. The black ones are coated in a TiZr alloy that will eventually wear off, revealing the silvery tungsten carbide beneath. So if you want a ring that is truly scratch resistant, you need to get naked tungsten carbide.A basic relationship of materials science is an inverse correlation between how hard (scratch-resistant) a material is, and how brittle it is. You want to be careful not to drop these rings on a hard surface or slam your hand onto something like a granite countertop, because it's possible it could crack or shatter. But, that's the price of admission for high scratch resistance.King Will claims that his rings are cobalt-free. Tungsten carbide rings containing cobalt will tarnish (darken) over time, but industrial grade tungsten carbide containing cobalt is cheaper so some low-end tungsten carbide rings sometimes use it to cut costs. Reputable jewelry manufacturers use a tungsten carbide containing nickel that will never tarnish, so I suspect that's what King Will uses.I will update this review at some point in the future, to say if the ring is still going strong or if anything happens to it. Initially I am very impressed.

This is a well made scratch resistant ring. It is made outta one of the strongest metals and will never scratch. Also when it hits the light right, it shines. Which I like. If you want it noticeable at times. Great ring. Added to my collection of tungsten rings.

Put the ring on for the first time. Ring fit great but the wood liner separated immediately :/. Lame because it fits and looks great otherwise.
