Does this product require a patch test before using?

It is much gentler than permanent hair colourants, so you probably do not need to. My friend used it without doing a patch test and it was fine. I hope this helps?

Is this suitable for dark hair?

It depends on what you are trying to achieve and also how dark is your dark hair! I can only say that I have used both the blond and a Light Brown and found them to be very good and the Bonus is beiong able to rinse them out if you're happy with the result. I would like to be more helpful but can only speak from my experience. I am a mixture naturally Grey/White and smidgens of Brunette!!

What are the instructions?

They should be the packet but you shampoo and rinse hair, lather all the contents of you can over your hair, I then put on a plastic shower cap and then a towel wait about 45 mins but less if you want it lighter, rinse off condition and then dry as normal. Really easy but does take a bit longer than box dye.
