They're not hollow, the back looks the same as the front.

Q: Would spray paint soak into these ?

If you put thin coats on and let them dry thoroughly inbetween you’ll be fine. There are spray paints out there for hardboard that give really good results.

Q: Can I use these to fill with cakes and edible treats?
