DO NOT BUY
1. The cap for the water tank broke under five uses. This was not quickly detected because the broken cap caused water to accumulate in the outer barrel. This made the view window appear full when the water was not in the tank but rather in the outer barrel, which is an electrical hazard.2. The water tank is definitely NOT antibacterial. A biofilm had developed both in the water tank and the outer barrel. The representative insisted it was hard water residue, but residue does not have the consistency or smell of biofilm.3. The company does not sell felt tabs necessary for aroma therapy, nor does it sell replacement parts.4. The company does not honor warranty. Their representative went AWOL after two email exchanges.

looks pretty, but doesn't do the job
Absolutely useless thing. It is ON all day and night in our room, but our humidity level never higher then 42%. So, looks pretty, but doesn't do the job.

It still works pretty effectively and is very quite
My husband and I could not live without this humidifier. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because it is not quite large enough to run consecutively through the night. I have to put it on the intermittent setting to get it to last for about 10 hours. It still works pretty effectively and is very quite. I love that it has a night light on it. I am going to order the white one for her room.

Fell apart in 4 months
Bought this at a Brookstone. It looks pretty cool, as far as humidifiers go, because you can see all of the impressive steam pouring out of the top of the thing. However, for $170, i would expect it to last for longer than 4 months (which it didn't) and/or for the manufacturer to fix it when the thing breaks so quickly (they didn't). Basically, the plastic tank inside the machine is incredibly cheap, and mine literally came apart at the seams after 4 months. I didn't drop it or otherwise subject it to abnormal treatment, the seams of the cheap plastic tank just came apart. So, now i have a humidifier with no tank, which is worthless. I contacted the company, they mentioned that it was no longer under warranty (so i guess the warranty is measured in days), and that i'd have to purchase a new tank, after FOUR MONTHS, for my $170 humidifier.Save yourself the money, get a $30 Vicks humidifier (or 5 of them), it'll last much longer and you'll be better off.

Great humidifier
This is a great humidifier. It doesn't take up a ton of space and it's also very quiet. I love that it works well to humidify the air in our open floor plan kitchen/living areas. It runs a long time on one tank and automatically shuts off if you forget to turn it off. Very easy to clean as well. This is worth the price!

Stylish and solidly built
It is solidly built and stylish but still functional (much better than the average U.S. humidifier design). On high, it (barely) makes it through the night. On medium, it makes it through the night and the next morning. I wish you could control the humidity, rather than having to let it run all the time.
