A wonderful book, honest and unvarnished, of places and people changed and gone.

Great read

I'm not a bird person but had a read as Kenzie is my great uncle.I really enjoyed it! I had some laughs and learnt a few things, even about birds too.

Bought this for my mum as the man in question is somehow related. She thoroughly enjoy it and so did I from the bits I read while wrapping it! Tells the story of a fen poacher who turned to bird conservation.

This book is about my grandad he was my dad's dad. We live in Middlesbrough grandad Sutton bridge Spaulding. We were only small when we met grandad so can not really remember him but my dad filled us in on his antics,relaying many a good tale of the marsh.l also remember watching grandad on television in the seventies.The book there fore is of great interest to myself has it connects me not only to grandad but my father who we lost two years ago who by the way was the spitting image of grandad so the cover of the book makes me smile before I have even opened it.I hope who ever reads this book find my grandad as interesting a fellow has I do.Kenzie.
