I would think it would smear it as it's very thick.

Can you use this on glass windows to create a frosted look?

They make a super cheap spray specifically for this purpose with a max of 2 dollars a can, you can often find them at dollar tree around October. You can also use a white latex spray paint and a sponge. I would absolutely avoid using mod podge for that purpose. It’s too thick and won’t achieve a frosted look with ease and it’ll never come off completely.

How do i know if I should use the one called "hard coat" or the acrylic seal spray on top of this one? What are the instances I would or wouldn't?

It depends in what you are making. If you want to keep stiff go with the hard stuff. If you want flexible Use the other one.

It should, it's dries clear. I would try it on a small area first. You can always wash it off.

great base sealer for your crafting needs

My Mod Podge was delivered on time and arrived safely. I use this brand exclusively and would recommend it to anyone who needs an easy to use sealer for satin finish crafting needs. I used to use a watered down water based glue but I find that this product is far better. If you need a finish for your project, consider the Mod Podge brand.

I love mod podge!

The media could not be loaded. This is my go-to glue and sealant for pretty much all my projects. I prefer the satin finish compared to the gloss or matte finishes. Matte gives a dull finish useful for some limited projects, while gloss often gives too much shine. Satin is right in the sweet spot!I keep a jar watered down 50/50 for dipping items like a glaze. I also have another jar 75-25 water with a sponge roller to use as a paper glue for my greeting cards. It also does a great job of sealing my 3-d projects including models, repaint jobs, painted rocks and recycled glass jars. A super hardy material and very versatile.If you have bubbles during the drying process, you might end up with small rings on the finished product. To avoid bubbles, I apply with a sponge and hit it with a hair dryer to pop bubbles.Will buy again!
