Waterbase Sealer, Glue and Finish for Outdoor (8-Ounce), CS11220 Clear Finish

I have never used this, but I got it and it’s sealed too because actually the lid popped off and if it wouldn’t know how to seal on it I would’ve lost it, but I’ve used this brand for years, but never the outdoor and this is a great product I won’t have mold on my napkins that I put down if you’re wanting a great product for outdoor this is it don’t go out and pay a bunch of money when you can get this excellent price.

I used the Mod Podge Waterbase Sealer, Glue and Finish for some outdoor crafts, and it worked really well. It goes on smoothly, dries clear, and helps protect the surface from weather and wear. It’s easy to brush on and doesn’t have a strong smell. Once dry, it gives a nice protective finish that seems to hold up outside. Simple product, but it does exactly what it promises.

I’m pleased with this sealer. When you brush it on it looks white but dries clear with a very natural satin finish, not too shiny not too matte. The only thing about it is it’s a bit thick. if you put on more than one coat it dries with a slightly sticky feel. I dried a few pieces by putting them in the refrigerator overnight because the humidity outside seemed to make them dry slowly and it seemed to work well. It says on the instructions to let it dry in between thin coats but the sealer itself is kind of thick and it’s difficult to make a really thin coat. I had more success with one coat as two felt a little tacky.

I have used this product for a while now. I used to be able to find it locally at Hobby Lobby but recently I've noticed they've stopped restocking it. I'm not sure of the reasons, but that is the reason I've had to come to Amazon to order it. It serves the purpose I need, however there are some flaws that I wish they would work out with this product which is why I gave this a 4-star rating. I use this on concrete garden stones. I apply 3-4 very thin coats once I apply my design to the concrete stone and let them dry completely in between coats. What I like about this is that it creates a very nice semi-gloss barrier over whatever it's applied to. It must cure 3-4 days before being placed outside. This is very important. I have projects that I created 2 years ago that still look good as new which is why I continue to use this product and rate it at 4-stars. The negatives of this are that it does not dry to a hard finish. It does remain somewhat tacky. I really wish this would dry to a hard finish, but I've never had any complaints regarding my garden stones that I sell, so it's not a real big deal to me. Finally, and this is kind of a big deal, I have some problems with some of the garden stones developing a white film on the mod podge after rain or snow. Now it WILL eventually clear up, but it can take several hours or several days of sunshine (depending on how much moisture was absorbed) to clear up. I make sure I explain this to my customers so they know ahead of time what to expect. Overall, I feel like I'm still able to provide a quality product with my garden stones. I do hope that they keep working on this product to make it better. Maybe someday they will create an outdoor mod podge that creates a hard finish and one that does not get the white film.

I use this sealer for any item that I will place outside. Such as painted rocks !

We painted rocks and used this to seal them! They have gone through many storms and are still perfect

I used it on a metal watering can I had painted with my daughter’s handprints. The mod podge smeared some of the paint (may be the type of paint I used?) and applied very thick and not smooth. I wished I hadn’t applied it at all. Could be user error honestly but I’ve been happy with mod podge products and their ease of use in the past.

ottima anche per transfer di immagini su legno, questa per outdoor dovrebbe offrire anche una protezione extra per i raggi uv!

I used this to seal a gonk garden ornament that was peeling and it worked great. It stopped the paint from peeling further and has left a nice shine on the gonk making it look like new again.

Great product for adding some strength and a level of waterproofness to my textile work.

Ich habe den Mod Podge gekauft um eine Holzkiste zu versiegeln. Habe es wie beschrieben 3 Tage trocknen lassen. Es ist aber so dass die Kiste jetzt "klebrig ist" es ist nichts feucht oder so aber klebt . Und für glatte Kunststoffe ungeeignet.
