Good Sweetness, but Erythritol & Monk Fruit Remain Superior
Review:From a nutritional and practical perspective, this sweetener is a good option and provides a pleasant level of sweetness. However, in my experience, it does not quite compare to erythritol or erythritol blended with monk fruit from the same brand, which remain superior in taste and overall performance. That said, I would still rate it as a good and useful product, especially for those looking to diversify their sugar alternatives.I would also like to take a moment to sincerely thank the brand. I have been using Anthonyโs products for over seven years as part of a keto lifestyle, and they have played a significant role in improving my health. Through consistent use and dietary discipline, I was able to overcome insulin resistance, lose weight, and achieve a much healthier overall condition.Their products have been a reliable support in my daily life, especially for baking and preparing healthier alternatives that allow me to maintain a sustainable, low-carb lifestyle. My only concern is availability. Living in the UK, it has become increasingly difficult to find their products. I used to purchase them from Amazon US and was extremely satisfied, but unfortunately, that option is no longer easily accessible. Even when searching through different platforms, some items are hard to find.I truly hope the company considers improving availability in Europe and the UK, or resumes easier international shipping through Amazon US.Overall, a trustworthy brand with high-quality products that have made a real difference in my long-term health journey.Dr. Sabah

Good stuff
I like erythritiol. By itself the flavor is less sweet than table sugar and has an "off" flavor. However, mixed with sacharrin it has a taste and sweetness very similar to sugar. Truvia is a combination of stevia extract and erythritol but has a strong vanilla flavor. The erythritol/sacharrin blend is neutral. The other sweeteners (aspertame, assulfame K, sucrolose) all seem to give me problems and do so for others as well. Neither sacharrin nor erythritol are thought to pose any hazard nor does my body complain. Note: there is no warning label on sacharrin anymore. The only animal for which it was found to cause cancer is male rats. No other species nor female rats are effected. Saccharin doe, like other artificial sweeteners, adversely effects your microbiome. So use sparingly.Erythritol is a 'sugar alcohol' (not really an alcohol but named so because of its molecular structure). The other sugar alcohols do not get absorbed into the body and pass right through. Although humans cannot digest sugar alcohols, bacteria can. This is why sugar alcohols cause diarrhea in larger quantities. Just like those who cannot digest lactose, the little buggers go to town on the unabsorbed carbohydrate. Erythritol does get absorbed and thus does not pose a GI problem. The body absorbs erythritol but does not metabolize it. The kidneys remove it unchanged with no effect on blood sugar. (Presumably you could process your urine and use it again.)

Tastes like sugar, great for Keto
I am on the Keto diet and tried to make home made iced cream with Stevia because my local grocery store did not carry Erythritol. It was terrible. It had an awful, strong taste of artificial sweetener. I ended up throwing it away.I decided to give the recipe another shot so I came on Amazon and ordered some Erythritol. When it was delivered I could immediately tell the difference as the bag was much heavier than Splenda or Stevia and had the same feel as sugar. I took a taste and was pleasantly surprised. It has a similar density, texture as sugar. Most importantly it tastes like sugar without a hint of tasting artificial or aftertaste. I loaded the ingredients back into my iced cream maker and wow, the results were fantastic. I had a couple of other people taste the iced cream and they couldn't tell that it wasn't made with regular sugar. They also thought, like I did, that the plain crystals tasted just like sugar.... I will definitely purchase again!

Less sweet than sugar and leaves cold sensation in mouth
Iโm going to preface this review with that fact that prior to this purchase I had never had Erythritol so I canโt compare this product to others.I donโt use sugar for very much, really only my coffee so I figured this would be a good way for me to cut down on my sugar intake and use in my coffee. Like you probably have read erythritol is less sweet than sugar, about 75% as sweet seems fairly accurate to me. This is definitely true, so to achieve the same level of sweetness you need to use more of the product. One thing that I didnโt know until trying is that erythritol since it is a sugar alcohol, once dissolved leaves a slightly cold feeling in your mouth. Almost like menthol. It doesnโt taste minty at all just leaves a โcoldโ feeling in your mouth, even in hot coffee. I explained this to my friend before she tried it and she agreed. I imagine it may be different in baking or maybe just cooking but that is the sensation for using in a liquid like coffee or teas.On another note since you will be compelled to use more erythritol than sugar to maintain sweetness you may encounter one of the side effects of erythritol which can essentially affect your body the same ways a laxative would. So be cautious how much you are using. There is no real โoverdoseโ that I could find but trying something different can always affect you in ways you donโt think and this is one that I would not have thought.Overall I think Iโll try using it for baking because Iโm not a huge fan of it just dissolved in liquids. I have returned to my raw sugar.

It is a healthy alternative.
I have been using this kind of sugar substitute for it is real sugar alcohol. No after taste and a lot better for you. You can substitute it at the same quantity in your recipe and it usually is sweet enough. It doesnโt raise your glucose as much as real sugar. I havenโt tried any other brand for I like this one and price is good.

Great sugar option for Candida
I have Candida overgrowth and so I have eliminated sugar from my diet. I usually use maple syrup or Stevia for sweetening, but stumbled across erythritol as an added option. I am so glad I did!I don't indulge in baked goods often, so I figured one bag should last me a while. It's been two months since I place my order and it's finally getting low. I'm going to see if I can place this product on automatic ship.I had read that erythritol can cause gastric issues, but I have never had any with this brand. It takes a little tweaking to get recipes just right, as erythritol is not quite as sweet as sugar. I usually start low and add if needed. Sometimes the recommended amount of sugar is too much anyway! My favorite way to use it is to make homemade whipped cream. Yum! Chilled just a bit and it can pass for ice cream!

Excellent Product
I've been using this for quite a while and think it is great! I'm not sure how much sweetners others are used to, but some are complaining it isn't sweet enough! Possibly their palate has become jaded over the years of eating standard sugar. It does take a long time to get "off" of standard sugar! My husband has never found the things I bake to be "not sweet enough" in fact, we never frost the little cakes I do make - they are fine without it!I used to be a sugar addict and this really satisfies my sugar craving in baked goods. (I don't have sweeteners in anything else.) I find that after baking, the granules melt into the product and are undetectable. When tasting the uncooked batter, yes, you can feel the granules, but the same goes for coconut sugar. Running a cup of erythritol through a blender for a minute or two, will turn it into powdered sugar (this works with any sweetener), so if one is making fudge or the like, this would solve the granule problem.I've also found with any erythritol product, no matter the brand, that when tasting it on my finger, it leaves a "cold" feeling in the back of my throat for a minute. But that is the only difference I've found with this product in comparison to other sweeteners. All in all, I would highly recommend this product for the taste and the price! The health food store I frequent, wants an arm and a leg for a little, tiny bag!
