Excellent for Morton's neuroma.
My walking was very painful and was diagnosed with Mortons neuroma. It got to the point where I couldn't function anymore. I was advised to buy some specialist insoles with the metatarsal bump.I got these ones, and a different pair, made of silicone, which are thicker, which makes them more difficult to put in shoes than these. These worked very well. The bump is very high up on these insoles, but it does spread the toes out a little, and really helps. I can now walk around again, and they helped reduce the swelling on my foot. They are quite slim, and easy to cut down, so they fit into nearly all my shoes. I just replaced the insole already in the shoe with these. They are a tiny bit slippy, even in bare feet, so it is easy to slide my painful foot into trainers with laces. My foot doesn't move around, because the heel cup keeps it in place.I definitely recommend them, and will get another pair when finances allow.

Fabulous relief, happiest purchase!
Pleasantly soft but high enough metatarsal support! Wonderful for my high arch feet. Congratulations and thanks to the makers!*****

Comfortable, but
These are quite comfortable. Although the heel looks a bit high, it's the build up around the heel that's actually high, which if you have to wear orthotics and need your shoe as close to flat as you can get, that can be a concern. I don't think the height at the base of the heel is any taller than my orthotics. HOWEVER, the buildup around the heel makes them an unlikely candidate for most of my shoes. I have an old wool lined pair of Merrell shoes that I use as house shoes (slip ons) and they work well in that. I've ordered some boots and boots tend to have roomier heels, and so, I'm going to try them in the boots as well.I suspect these are good if they work with your shoes. (E.g., men's shoes in particular, Wellies, shoes that are a bit big, etc.).I've marked them down to 4 because they're generally not suitable for most of my shoes unlike black Superfeet, but they may be a 5 for you. I've ordered some Powerstep Pinnacle Plus Met to try out as well. Thought I'd try out a couple of styes that have metatarsal pads and come highly recommended by podiatrists before committing to buying more pairs of Superfeet, which don't have metatarsal pads and require my taping down gel metatarsal pads with kinesiology tape and sliding a half insole (forefoot pad) in the front because (1) the black pair doesn't offer cushioning and (2) the gel metatarsal pads are too tall for my feet. That said, I like the black Superfeet because they are low profile and don't take up a lot of room in the heel... so unless I find a substitute, they're worth the extra work.EDIT: 24 hours later... having worn them in my Merrell slip ons, I discovered that the sides of the heel on one side and the beginning of the arch on the other are digging into my foot. For some perspective my foot is slightly wider than a Hotter Slim in my size (Ecco 7) and far too slim for Hotter Regular. So, although the rest of the insole seems well suited to a wide shoe / wide foot, I doubt that the heel is. And while the high arch didn't feel bad on my flat feet (flat because the arch drops), the arch apparently starts too far forward for my foot. These are quite expensive and it's hard to know whether they will work unless you cut them down and try them out.

For cycling user
I needed arch support and metatarsal support whilst I was cycling. I was getting pain under the second toe on my right foot. These insoles fixed that issue completely.

Didn't work for me
I bought these to deal with metatarsalgia. The design is such that there is a pad which supports the sole behind the ball of the foot, but because these insoles have to be cut to size, for smaller feet, removing material at the front of the insole serves to move the relative location of support pad forward. In my case, the pad was beneath the ball of the foot, exacerbating the problem, not relieving it. I'm sure they'll be fine for others, but they didn't work for me. Return was no quibble.

Didn't help at all - padding is pretty pathetic!
I've been in horrific pain, since an ill judged kick of a warped door (thanks landlord!), as its the only way to shut it when it swell in the damp.Long short eventually diagnosed with metatarsalgia, and I'd reached the point of seriously considering removing the foot :DI got a couple of insoles at the same time. These were tried, and put straight in the bin. Padding is about 1mm thick, and zero pain reduction.DynWalker insoles (also available on Amazon) gotmy pain level down to 7/10, but I do find them uncomfortable and unbalancing. The game changer for me has been Altra Escalate. WONDERFUL padding under the metatarsals. Apparently Nike Air Zoom Pegasus are also good for metatarsalgia (I haven't tried yet).If you need to stick with insoles for your standard footwear, unless you don't have much of a problem and just need a little helpful padding, give these a miss. The padding is minimalist to say the least
