Works Great! Excellent furnace for my $
Easy to use and heats up rather quickly depending on what I am heating up or melting. Good build quality. This would make a great gift. 5* rating.

Works great! Easy! Uses regular propane tanks
This uses regular propane for fuel and we were able to use the tank on our gas grill two fire this up. It comes with directions for assembly and they are fairly good, though we had some parts that were pre-assembled and we thought we had lost some things at first. This melts a good bit at a time for copper and silver. I felt like the tonges weren't the best, but they were okay. We are brand new to metal work though my son has always wanted to be a blacksmith. This seemed like a good place to start and it did give him very good success. He was able to make several ingots in just a hour or two his first time.I wish the instructions were a bit better about using and cleaning it but we were able to find all we needed on YouTube. I have no problems at all with the little furnace itself. We did have to move a vehicle so we could get a good level, safe area to work in. Before you buy it, make sure that you have a good clear level and open workspace. I would not use this under a carport for instance. You might also want a laser temperature gauge so you can judge the heat from a distance. Ours got up to 500° pretty quick and we melted copper and silver our first day. It's rather fun to watch the metals melt, because when they melt they melt all at once.It doesn't take much room to store. It's about the size of a propane tank itself, but thinner. We were able to store ours after it cooled down in a small deck box and still have room for other supplies. It is louder than I thought it would be. I could hear it blowing from inside the house.I recommend it for anyone interested in metal work, or interested in recovering scrap metals.

Impressive Starter Kit for Melting Metals
If you're new to melting down metals, this set makes it pretty easy. My Wife's Uncle had more experience than me with melting and pouring. He also lives on our land, out in the country, and helped me set everything up. Even though it runs off propane, it heats up pretty quick. Already had an OTOOLWORLD graphite ingot mold to use. We started off with aluminum, since that would require a lower temp to melt. That and we had plenty of scrap aluminum to work with. Worked well, easier to do than I had expected. We had stripped a ton of copper wires leading up to using the furnace, were happy with the ingot we made. Next burn, we'll be trying our hand at brass. I can't speak to the quality of how this compares with other electric or propane melting furnaces in the same price range. But my Wife's Uncle was impressed with it, and it was a good set for me to learn the ropes with.

Awesome.
I wasted no time unboxing this and taking it outside to fire up. It went together easily (the teflon tape it comes with is junk, I tossed it, and used my own high-quality tape, but if you don't have any of your own, make sure you give it 3 or 4 good turns because it's thin). The venturi is a simple sliding tube to vary the air / fuel mix. Super easy to adjust. Fired right up with no issues at all. The tongs are ok (will probably pick up a better set of crucible tongs to pour with) and get the job done. This is a great little furnace and I can hardly wait to do my first melt and pour!!!

Good entry level furnace
This is a GREAT little furnace for what I use it for. Melting soft glass is easy with it once you get it working. And I like that it connects with a standard 20lb propane tank so I don't have to go around looking for a larger one. Very happy with it and would recommend it
