Waterford Writing Instruments Kilbarry Emerald Isle Fountain Pen (WF/450/GEI)

Absolutely beautiful pen. Writes and feels perfect. Would like a fine point nib.

The pen is as beautiful as I had imagined and the nib is smooth and very high quality. My only complaint -- and it was a deal-breaker -- is that the converter did not fit (the top would not screw all the way down). It appears the pen barrel was not drilled deeply enough. I did an exchange in case it was a one-off but that one didn't close with a converter either. :( I regrettably returned both. If you use only an ink cartridge, I recommend this pen highly.

I have been looking at this pen for some time to add to my collection and finally decided to buy it. Amazon had the best price. I really like the pen and the price was right. It is a bit larger in diameter than I thought or could tell from the photos, but it writes well for an everyday pen. The body is quite shiny. I am satisfied and will purchase more from Amazon.

These fountain pens are as good as the Waterford name in crystal - Excellent. I've owned the roller ball in the Kilbarry model for a couple years and given them as gifts. I was determined to add he FPs to my collection. The fit and finish of these pens is top quality, and the nibs are smooth as silk with no feathering in ink flow. Price point it excellent too. Paper choice is important. I typical use Topps writing tablets for general needs and change to 100% cotton for correspondence. (Cut and paste for each model to save time)

I'm happy with the pen, but after a week of using it the clip on it bent sideways, I bent it back. I’m vary disappointed in the quality of the clip. I have many other high end pen, for years and they have never bent on me. This pen is a beautiful addition to my collection, but sadly I’m afraid to use it or carry it on my person, to avoid bend the clip again.

Smoothest fountain pen I've used yet. Almost too smooth. High quality. Be advised that this is a large diameter pen and might be too BIG for some peoples' liking.
