will this work on a treadmill where i get shocked while wearing headphones ?

Yes it will. I use this to walk while working on my laptop. I used to shock myself every few minutes. I taped aluminum foil around the metal heartbeat sensor with a little tab hanging off and connect the alligator clip to the foil. I no longer shock myself at the treadmill.

I have a lot of static in my body that makes me get shocked a lot. Will this help?

No. This deice is designed to keep an electrical technician from having a static discharge to sensitive electrical components (i.e. a pc, datalogger, gas analyzer, etc.).

And if I need more cord ? Are there any extension cords for this ?

It is pretty long by itself but if you need one that is a lot longer you can always take a piece of wire connected to the Gator clip and run it to a safe ground area.:)
