Brussel's Live Gardenia Outdoor Bonsai Tree - 4 Years Old; 6" to 8" Tall with Decorative Container - Not Sold in Arizona

Awesome because of the way this plant was packaged,so secure in its own space in the box it arrived. Outstanding because the person that prepared it and packed it in the box did so with such care. This plant arrived in tacked and so heathy that I can’t believe it traveled from Tennessee all the way to Sacramento CA. When I opened the box and looked inside I felt like this company had just personally delivered this plant from across the street and not traveled from TN to CA. Great job in my delivery and thanks also to UPS for the care they took in making sure these live plants arrive safely to their destination in good condition. This bonsai did not have blooms but as you can see it’s healthy n green. The soil was moist n well watered. I placed a humidity tray with colored pebbles n have it indoors for a few days before placing out on the balcony. I’ve given her the name “Laura” because I received her on my mom who passed aways heavenly birthday 11/14. I waited for this review, until I had the plant long enough to judge health and heartiness. The plant was beautiful, but just like many flowering specimens I buy, it came with whiteflies. It is growing inside my home, and has never been outside. I am controlling the environment carefully; perfect morning sun from the east, afternoon light from a grow lamp, humidity tray, adequate feeding, misting etc. Although it is difficult to keep a gardenia alive for long indoors, it can be done. None of my other plants have any whiteflies or other pests, and now this gardenia has whiteflies already. I will try to treat it, but usually a gardenia fails to thrive after any sort of pesticides. I expected better from a reputable nursery. I just hope that the flies haven’t spread to my other gardenia; it has been growing in my house for over 2 years, and I would hate to see it suffer also.

Nice, healthy plant, about 11" tall including the ceramic pot. It came with a detailed instruction pamphlet, which is appreciated. It was also packed very well and only took 2 days to get to me in Florida in mid February. Mive donesnt have any buds, but the booklet says spring to summer, so I'll give it some time. I'm very please with the plant! One of the pics was taken with the flash. A+++

I will admit, I was very hesitant buying this after reading the 3 negative reviews on the main item page description, but I ordered it anyways, I always wanted a flowering bonsai as I only have had the pleasure of having regular bonsais. But when I received, it was extremely healthy and taken care of. Only 3 leaves needed to be trimmed due to discoloration from being inside the box. I know it will take time to flwoer and won't expect it right away. My only concern is that the potting soil is not what I expected. I expected it to be softer and easier like the soil is supposed to be with bonsais, but instead it was regular soil with wood and rock in it. When I got to transplant it later on, I will be fixing that for sure because I want it to grow up healthy. But it's growing quite well and nothing was broken or dead. It was shipped out the next day and arrived at my house 3 days later. The other negative reviews probably had their shipping take longer and that is why the leaves were dissatisfying. Awesome work on this little guy, I would buy from you again. :)

I’m a little bit bummed. I did not order a pot with a tray attached that I can’t remove. I can’t get to the drain hole! I water from top until it runs out. Can’t very well do that with this pot. I also don’t like knowing my tree will be sitting in a tray of water unless I tip the pot tree and all to remove excess water. I wanted a pot as I saw in the picture. I do like the color of pot The tree has a sagging branch because the cardboard insert was holding it down through shipping. I will try to prop it to correct it. All and all I’m a bit sad

I ordered this for mother's day since my mom loves Gardenias. I looked around at a couple different websites but they were way too expensive to get it here quickly. I was a little hesitant with this listing because the reviews weren't that great but I took a chance and went for it. I ordered it from Amazon on Tuesday May 7 with One Day Shipping. It says it usually takes 2-3 days to ship, and the expected delivery date was May 13-14 (the day after Mother's Day). However, it shipped the next day, the 8th, and I received it the 9th, 2 days before Mother's Day! I opened the box and it looked good! There were no broken branches and the pot was intact. The tree looks healthy and green. There are no blossoms on it yet but hopefully they come in soon. The pot is white instead of the blue that is pictured but that's ok; it looks good either way. I highly recommend getting One Day or 2 Day shipping (free if you have Prime) so the plant isn't sitting in the box for 5 days. It came with plastic over the dirt so the moisture would stay in, but that would dry up pretty quickly. Plus, these plants need some sunlight so being smothered in a box is not the healthiest. Bottom line - This is a good plant. Order from Amazon and you shouldn't have a problem.

This is a bait and switch scheme. The plant is only 5" high and barely that. Suppose to be 6-8". The pot is 3" high and barely 6" wide looks like something you could buy at the dollar tree. The plant pictured looks healthy and in bloom as its blooming period is May, June and July. Our plant looks like a branch cut off and stuck in dirt. There are no blooms nor buds at all. The ends are fresh cut no leaves. Please do not waste your money. This plant is not 4 years old as the trunk is very young and not sturdy!!!!!, BE AWARE!!!!! The left is what I expected the right is what I received.

I bought this for my mother for Mother’s Day. The plant came earlier than expected, it was nice and healthy, carefully packaged for the plants safety. I don’t know much about plants other than Gardenia is her favorite, she’s always loved them but they did not grow in our area. The hardiness of the bonsai and its need for seasons allows her to finally have one. It is now almost June, the plant is healthy and thriving. She now has her first flower and is gushing over it. She couldn’t just tell me, she had to send a picture to show her new flower. She said it is fragrant and beautiful. If you have a plant lover in the family, who really appreciates these flowers but isn’t in their normal growing zone, I would recommend this as a surprise. I wish I had thought of buying something like this for her sooner.
