Thank you
I deeply appreciate Keith's love and dedication to write this book because it will help to answer questions and it will provide you with a powerful Kriya practice so you can know yourself. Also, if you practice regularly you will have less stress, you will be healthier and happier! The book is divided into four parts:Part 1: The Spiritual and Scientific Lineage of KriyaPart 2: Practicing Kriya YogaPart 3: The Scientific Effects of Kriya YogaPart 4: The Spiritual Effects of Kriya YogaQuote, page 17-18"This book has been written to express deep heartfelt gratitude for the tradition of passing on teachings from generation to generation but also helps to provide, as much as possible, a clear and concise guide to these techniques... Grace alone is in charge from this point forward. May these writings find those who may be looking for them. We believe that ultimately the teacher is within but as the journey proceeds there are fellow travelers who will appear to provide assistance along the way."If you are genuinely seeking, please consider this book. And please, practice, practice, practice! ^_^Namaste,

Amazing material on Kriya Yoga
Dr. Lowenstein has done a phenomenal job explaining Kriya Yoga concepts in so scientific and easy to understand manner. I strongly recommend this book to anyone seeking to embark on the journey of Kriya Yoga Meditation.

Excellent.
Simple, but very efficient kriya yoga practises, backed up by scientific researches and facts.

All sizzle no steak
We all have to accept that a book is never really gonna teach us kryia yoga. If we really wanna learn kryia yoga we should stop looking for a book and wasting money. Just join SRF or one of the others.

Dr. Lowenstein has a poor and selective memory
Dr. Lowenstein appears to somehow forget that I was the person who introduced him to Ganesh Baba, and called him to invite him to come stay with Dan and I. Keith lived in the living room of the house. The four of us lived together for months, the three guys taking care of Baba, making his tea and making food for the constant visitors who came to hang with him. I worked in a restaurant, Keith did not work. The plan was that the three of us (Keith, Baba, and myself) would all move to Santa Fe, NM, where Keith and I would study to become Naturopaths. I went in advance of the two of them. Sometime after I arrived I was told the plan had changed and they were not coming. Keith's family had money and put him up in an apartment in midtown Manhattan where he could attend Columbia's post-baccalaureate premed program without having to work. Baba stayed with him because he had a roof over his head and could hold court in their apartment. That's the actually story, for what it's worth. If we are talking about spirituality then we ought to be honest. What good is all that meditating if one becomes dishonest and dishonorable in the process. For shame, Dr. Lowenstein.R. A. Schulman MD

an excellent book on the foundations of kriya yoga
Fascinating read. It goes in depth into both Ganesh Baba and his simplified and accelerated version of Kriya yoga. Dr. Lowenstein cares very much about the lineage and explains each stage of the technique in clear detail. While no advanced and secretive techniques are taught in the book, the simple four stage process gives the meditator plenty to work with and profound experiences can be experienced. 10/10 will recommend!

Actual Kriya given on one page
The Author of this book, Keith Lowenstein, is a dedicated Physician and obviously has a good heart and is highly intelligent. My problem with the book is that the actual technique of Kriya Yoga was only given on one page of a 272 page book. The actual technique is given about halfway through, in the 150's pages. I don't know why this author who obviously had a true Kriyaban for a Master would leave out the essence of the technique and give page after page of introductory yoga we can all find elsewhere. The technique given on that one page is not given at all again, even in the sum up of his entire Kriya routine. For general yoga practice, this is a great book. For a commentary on how we are destroying the Earth for Corporate greed.....not so much. I wish he had left the political stuff out of his book however much I may agree with them or not. For Kriya practice in general (I am a Kriyaban), I find the approach as a constant repeat of things leading up to Kriya proper, then it falls off of a cliff. There are books who go out of their way to just teach you the real Kriya and all of its variations, such as Kriya Secrets revealed, by J.C. Stevens. Stevens is not afraid of thunderbolts from teachers who want to feel exclusive, so I would recommend you go there to get the real methods. Read this, book, by Lowenstein, as a way to introduce you to Yoga and Meditation itself, if you are just starting to enter this path. You will learn a lot about your Physiology and the good affects/effects of Meditation, not a lot about real Kriya yoga.
