TBH I was a bit skeptical this would work. We have an older Alexa, and tried (unsuccessfully) to use the google home smart devices. But, this works GREAT. NO ADDITIONAL HUBS, smart outlets, or anything else required. It's very simple. To make it work you have to download the "Gosund" app. Then create a free account (use your email address). After that, in the upper right hand corner of the app, select the "+" sign. There you can either selct "add manually" or "auto scan." From there follow the app prompts (if manually, select "lighting " on the left hand side first. Screw in the bulb to the desired light (it'll blilnk - it's supposed to). The app will find the light. Select it, re-name if desired. THEN open up your alex app and add the skill (by clicking the magnifying glass), "gosund." You'll have to sign in to your gosund account through alexa (the email and p/w you just used on gosund app). From there, you're GOOD TO GO!!

This is my first move into the smart light category and I am sold! These bulbs are easy to set up and totally compatible with Alexa. I plan on continuing to replace my other fluorescent and LED bulbs as they burn out.

ONCE THE APP IS SET UP, THESE BULBS ARE EASY TO SET UP, AND IF YOU HAVE AN ALEXA ACCOUNT, THEY AUTOMATICLY DEFAULT TO THAT ACCOUNT. WITH THAT SAID, YOU CAN CONTROL THESE BULBS BY ITS OWN APP, OR BY VOICE COMMAND THROUGH ALEXA. ALL IN ALL, SMART LIGHT BULBS IS A GOOD INVESTMENT IN TURNING YOUR HOME INTO A SMART HOME.

Setting these up wasn't simple but maybe it's because it's my first time using a smart bulb. HOWEVER - the payoff is excellent. I can turn off or on nearly every light in my house and my front porch now, with Alexa and from my cell phone. I feel so fancy and clever! :-D And this is a good price. How long they last will actually determine value though, so I can't comment on that yet.

I like the smart bulbs. I like that they are dimmable. I hate the white light of the bulbs though. I like regular yellow glow to bulbs. I'm autistic and have sensory issues. These bulbs glow a weird white glow when on that I can tell a huge difference in. So while I like they are smart bulbs I can't stand using them on anything but 100%, I can't dim them or I feel nauseous. This seems pointless to buy a bunch of these if all I ever can use them for is super bright mode. Which hurts my head too much if I'm not working on art projects. I like to have bright lights for art, and dim lights for watching TV, reading, or any relaxing. I don't have that option with these.

Setup is fairly simply, but took multiple attempts with a couple of the bulbs. Once they were setup, they work great and integrated with Alexa amazingly simply. The app is not as intuitive as some of the others I’ve used, especially for automated scenes and setup, but overall, happy with this purchase because of how well they work with Alexa. Will purchase again.

These dimmable LED bulbs are awesome! They give off a surprisingly bright, but also a nice warm shade of white, for being LED. In fact, I'm in the middle of changing out all of my older Compact Fluorescent bulbs, in exchange for these nicer bulbs. They are cool to the touch, even after being turned on for a while. That also means they are more energy efficient, as well as likely lasting longer than my existing CF bulbs, where the constant heat can cut the life of the components. These are more ideal for areas which don't get much airflow, such as an enclosed lamp post. CF bulb can burn out quickly due to the heat being generated, where these bulbs will be fine. And lastly, these LED bulbs are better for the environment, as well as your own health. If one werenro break it wouldn't leak out toxic mercury from the CF bulbs. Look it up, it's scary how few people know about this. I'm sticking with LED, and I'm sticking with these! We also control them by voice (Alexa), as well as setting up schedules within the app. It just all works as it should. Highly recommended.

It was a little tricky to install but works great. I have AT&T modem/router supplied by Uverse. It support 5.2 with 2.4 as a backup. The bulb did not connect with the auto-connect, so I switched to the manual method. I had to switch the buld on-off three times then on to get the slow-blinking connection process. In the Gosund app on my Samsung phone, I went into connections as directed and found the bulb. (I didn't exactly connect, but said WiFi may not be available). I left the connections and went back to the Gosund app where the process continued and the connection was made. After that the bulb worked fine. The steps needed don't quite match the process needed to establish the connections, but the bulbs work fine. I was getting ready to return the bulbs, until I stumbled on this method.
