Single White Female 2 - The Psycho

Single White Female 2 was filled with much of the same intrique and drama as SWF #1, minus the sexy suspense and originality.Therein lies the problem, originality. Like most people I do look for a little more action in a sequel, but I also want to be surprised with a new twist from the original version, SWF 2 did not provide this. The characters were dull and uninteresting and offered nothing new to the role.The plot was basically the same as the original only not as good.However, I would still give it one thumb up if you want to watch it on free tv, but I would not spend any money for this movie.

I like movies like this. I loved part one and had to watch part two. Part two was good, but not as good as the first one, I think.

Buon thriller , seppur non all'altezza del primo. Film godibile, qualità audio-video del DVD buona. Amazon perfetto come sempre.

一作目のブリジット・フォンダとジェニファー・ジェイソン・リーのイメージを持って観たら、ちょっと残念な気持ちになります。しかしながら、やはりPart 2 ともなると、どうしても一作目と比較しちゃいますよね('Д` )この映画、厳密に言えば「Part 2 」と言うより「リメイク版」と言った方が正しいと思います。新しい設定のリメイク版として観たら、まぁそこそこ楽しめる映画になってるんじゃないですかね(^^;一作目では、ルームメイトになったジェニファー・ジェイソン・リーが、徐々に主演のブリジット・フォンダそっくりになっていって、飼いだした犬を殺したり、彼氏を寝取ったり(彼氏さんは途中で気付くけど、意に反してお口で果ててしまう)、挙げ句に殺したりと、何をしでかすか分からない狂気振りが面白かったんだが、この Part 2 作品では、そう言う怪しげな怪演はあまり観られなかったです。ジェニファー・ジェイソン・リーは本当に可愛かったし、冒頭の大人しそうなイメージの女から、主人公に似せていく過程で垢抜けながら大胆になり、オナってるところをブリジット・フォンダに見られたり、しっかりヌードも観れたあの怪演を、越える演技を期待するのが間違いでしたね(^^;さて…このPart 2では、三人の主要な女性が登場します。まずは、主人公ホリー。クリステン・ミラーが演じてますが、まぁまぁべっぴんさんでナイスバディーで、劇中ではバリバリのキャリアウーマンを演じてます。映画冒頭で彼氏さんとのベッドシーンがあるんだけど、あのナイスバディーなヌードバディーは、多分代役さんかなと思います。ここぞと言う時に顔が映らないし、若干違う様な感じがしたんで('Д` )もし間違いならクリステン・ミラーさん、ごめんなさいm(_ _)m（笑）二人目は…ルームメイトのテス。アリソン・ラングが演じますが、最初はやはり田舎っぽく物静かで落ち着いた感じの女性なんですが、徐々に本性を表していく様をそれなりに演じています。一応ナイスバディーだし、序盤の田舎娘的な女性から垢抜けていき、SMとかに走っちゃうんですよね！でも、やっぱり一作目のジェニファー・ジェイソン・リーには遠く及ばず、ヌードも無く、予想通り…いや、期待感情の空回りになってしまいました(^^;三人目は…主人公と仕事上のライバルであるジャン。演じたのはブルック・バーンズで、なかなか良い味出してた様に思います。主人公とは仲が悪いと言う訳ではなく、ルームシェアして一緒に暮らしてた様な関係。でも仕事上のライバルで、ホリーの彼氏さんを寝取ったのを本人に見られて、ルームシェアを解消されちゃうんだよね→ここから新しいルームメイトを募集する流れになる。ストーリー中盤過ぎ迄は、主人公ホリーと仕事上でバチバチなバトルをするんだけど、勝敗がついて結局ホリーに負けちゃいます。んで、女の友情とでも言わんばかりに、一応仲直りするんですよね。彼氏を寝取った程のライバルを、仕事で勝てて満足したのか清々しく許しちゃう主人公ホリーは、いやはや寛大としか言い様がないけど…結局ジャンはルームメイトのテスに殺されちゃいます('Д` )個人的に…何故かこのジャン役のブルック・バーンズが、一番印象に残りました（笑）個人評価としては、Part 2なりのガッカリ度はあったものの、途中で観るのやんぺっとストップさせる事もなく、最後まで観れたので「星3つ評価」にさせて頂きます。まぁいつの時代も「Part 2」が「Part 1」を越えられないのは、定番と言えば定番なんですけどね…('Д` )

I bought this because it had been on TV the previous week, and I missed most of it because of bad reception. I was curious because I'd enjoyed the Fonda/Jason Leigh original as a fair thriller. "SWF 2" falls well below the first cinema version, but not bad as a TV movie. Even now It looks a little dated, with the hair and fashions, and especially so in the obligatory underwear shot at the beginning.The leads are okay, but Allison Lange doesn't emit the menace that Jennifer Jason Leigh did in the earlier film, she's a bit too likeable, in fact I was rootin for her throughout after the way she'd been treated.Okay for the odd evenings viewing.

This is not the best of sequels and it certainly isn't a patch on the brilliant original, that had sexy performances and gripping suspense, which I have on DVD. (Cannot believe it's not available on Bluray, but there you go). The main protagonist is not exactly sympathetic, she has a girlfriend who is constantly trying to seduce her boyfriend and get promoted, but the protagonist, as much as she complains, is no better, and she is a total hypocrite about it. I found myself rooting for The Psycho roommate. There is not much else to say about it any more than all this is really is Single White Female meets Sex in The City. I gave it a try, I gave it a chance, but sorry, not recommended. Good job it was very cheap.
