Good instructions, good quality of kit, would have been better if weight was graded individually instead of a range like 1 to 1.5 kgs. Sometimes, the contraption also gets stuck and has to be pressed a couple of times before returning to original position. But, overall, will definitely recommend.

Just got done with building Skillmatics Buildables - Sketching Machine and my little girl already loves it.One of the best father-daughter moments we’ve had building this amazing piece of machinery. It’s so easy to make, my 9 year enjoyed every moment of building it.There is a video tutorial available, but, we used the instruction manual which came in the box, which is just as easy.The most fascinating thing which children find is, it doesn’t need any batteries.It comes with a small piece of sand paper to smoothen the cogs for easy movement. Who’d have given so much attention to detail!!!The only thing is it takes some practice to get used to. It sure keeps the kids engaged when they're trying to learn how to do it! But, it’s a fun machine anyway!!! 5 stars!

Got my nephew the Skillmatics Buildables- Sketching Machine. This one does work both the sides of his brain rather well. I let him build it himself as he is rather good at it. The building part required him to give it his best, with me chipping in, whenever needed. The manual describes the process very well for kids to understand. Once that was done, he aced the sketching part with me and his friends. The controllers are easy to use and super fun for the kids who are only used to their device screens. I myself had a great time doing the maze. Overall, definitely recommend this unique game and I intend to have a go at the others in the series as well. Good job Skillmatics!

The concept is interesting.But the choice of materials, their fit and finish lack finesse.The wood parts are laser cut but not easy to remove from the main sheet.Pros:Good concept and good videos to build and supportCons :1. Quality of materials is not good and probably unsafe for kids2. Uses some ordinary rubber bands for all the fixtures - can cause injury to kids3. The parts are laser cut on a wood ply board. But they are not easy to remove for kids and sometimes break from the main board with splinters - can certainly cause injuries4. You need to sign up on the skillmatics website to access the build video5. One you assemble the whole thing its wobbly and not suitable/useable by kids without an adult trying to hold the structure in place.6. Even the pen or sketch pen is held in place by some loose ill fitting rubberband and keeps lifting off the paper during movementIn total it's a waste of money and not a useable STEM project for kids. It's also not safe is the worst part.

My niece loves to draw so I bought her the Sketching Machine for her birthday and she was thrilled! The thought of building her own machine that she could use to create art really fascinated her. She was quick to build it with ease and got straight to sketching. Personally, I really liked that there was a learning curve for creating good sketches as it kept her engaged for a long time and this way she was really able to understand and appreciate the mechanisms and workings of the machine.

The media could not be loaded.  My son opened the Buildables box as soon as it was delivered. He immediately started to assemble the dinosaur by pulling out all the pieces and reading the instruction book. The concentration was amazing. The self-correction and problem-solving when he realized a segment wasn’t properly built was also really fun to observe. We loved that he saw this as a new toy without realizing all the learning that was actually happening. It’s the best. There were even a few moments of frustration when he couldn’t quite figure out the next step, but small breaks paired with focused determination to finish the build all happened organically. He put it together in just a few hours.The quality of the toy was also impressive. We initially thought it was cardboard but it was actually wood. The assembly manual was so thoughtfully designed with a certificate of completion at the end and a status bar indicating how much of the dinosaur has been assembled. We asked how it was going (after the first hour) and got a precise response about being 58% done - it was hilarious, unexpected and fun to hear that answer.The design is quite clever - seeing that a dinosaur can transform into a robot was mind blowing to our son.Bonus: We had more than two glorious hours of quiet in the house! We will definitely be gifting these to other friends with kids!

This dinosaur is fun to build. Good way of spending time with your kid. Can make a weekend out of this. Once it's build, it's fun to play with it too. Also all parts are made of sustainable materials. Makes a great show piece on a desk as well. Definitely recommended.

Got my 11 year old the Dinosaur building set. It was very smooth to build with the help of the booklet and the video. Once that was done, we loved the way it transformed easily into a robot. Overall, a great buy!

I think I would place this in the 10+ yo age group, but with some adult help it went together well. It's fun, solid, and a new Nerf-styled danger for siblings. It really is only the age deflation that I had a problem with.

Ordered the hydraulic launcher for my kid and it was fun building it. My kid played with it for a day and the main part that locks the launcher broke. We used a spare and that broke after 2 days. It’s a fun toy to play with but the material can be more sturdier to play with it for long time.
