Whats the actual difference between the marine collagen and the bovine one? (Bar the price)

Hey,

The main difference between Bovine and Marine Collagen are the types of Collagen they contain and the source of where the collagen comes from.

Our Bovine collagen comes from European cattle and is comprised of Type 1 and Type 3 Collagen, which are both abundant in the human body, but Type 1 is predominant.

Our Marine Collagen comes from Wild Caught Whitefish and is comprised of Type 1 Collagen.

Both of our Bovine and Marine Collages are free from antibiotics, hormones & GMO feeds.

Bovine Collagen is great if you are looking for an "allrounder" collagen source and your lifestyle or intolerances allow the inclusion of Beef. You may also choose Bovine over Marine if you have an allergy/intolerance to fish or shellfish. Bovine is great to support, skin, hair, nail, bone, joint and gut health too.

Marine Collagen could be used if you have allergies or intolerances to beef or as a lifestyle choice you prefer to avoid products from cattle. Marine collagen is also great for those who wish to really target their skin, hair, or nail health. 
 
You can also take Bovine and Marine collagen together for an added Type 1 collagen boost if you wish we just advise you to stick to the 13g per day recommend serving. (Which is approximately two level tablespoons).

Our pure Marine Collagen comes from Wild Caught Whitefish from the North Atlantic Ocean and is comprised of Type 1 Collagen. It is produced using an innovative enzymatic process without the use of solvents, GMO's, or other contaminants.

Each batch is lab tested and is free from antibiotics, hormones & GMO feeds.

Marine collagen is great for those who wish to really target their skin, hair, or nail health.

We recommend that you take 10g per day which is approximately 2 level tablespoons however we do have customers who take up to 30g.

It says plastic free packaging, isn’t this a foil plastic bag that can the recycled?

I can assure you that one of our founding values here at Hunter & Gather is caring for the environment. We use glass bottles for our MCT Oil, glass jars for our Mayo's, and re-useable Metal Tins for our Supplements too.
 
Our Collagen Packaging is 100% Plastic-Free and made with a mixture of plant fibers and other compostable materials such as a paper topper. The inside does look like a shiny plastic material but it is actually a non-plastic fully compostable liner that is made from plant fibers. The whole bag is industrial compostable and if you split the inner and outer apart they are at home compostable. 
 
All our packaging is made in the UK, reducing on our carbon footprint. I do hope that this reassures you in the care and attention we go to provide Plastic-Free packaging.
