Great gift for my Dad! He opened within 10 min had his 1st shave, he's been wanting one for years, and was so happy to finally use one. I loved the quality of the whole kit. Came slightly banged up due to them sending it in a bag not a shipping box. Luckily nothing inside the box was damaged, but still highly recommend this for beginners no doubt!

Came with everything I need to start using a straight razor. I wish the razor was a bit sharper when it arrived, but I was able to sharpen it and it works great!

Good kit if you want to try out straight razor shaving. The edge is fair, but will leave stubble. Have gone over a few times in different directions- still not close enough to remove stubble. I ended up following with a disposable razor (which defeats the purpose). Opted to purchase the sharpening stone from the same company to see about a better edge, will review once I sharpen the blade.

I have been using straight razors for a long time, and bought this for the complete package. The brush, soap holder, stand, stropping leather, and the blade - all appear premium. They will look good on a counter top. If used well, they would likely last a long time. The stand is perfect to leave the shaving brush and blade out to dry without making a clutter.Since the blade was advertised as ready out of the box, I did not apply my usual stropping routine. On my first attempt at a shave, it felt very rough on the skin. The shave was far from satisfactory and there was a lot of stubble. A close shave is impossible. The blade can barely shave out of the box, and is definitely not up to the mark.Second attempt - I stropped it on the provided stropper for a good 15 minutes. The stubble is less, but is still significant. I will try another attempt after putting it to my whetstones.Overall, the blade and the package does seem to be of a good quality, but it is definitely not a shave ready blade. A close shave is impossible out of the box. Beginners may find it difficult to use.

This product FAR SURPASSED my expectations. It was not only immaculately packaged but every item inside was of spectacular quality. I see some bad reviews. But they obviously didn’t get the same product I got. The razor came out of the box sharp enough to shave with immediately. I want everyone to know that this kit was put together by a company that CARES about the product they provide. I Love this product!!

The set is beautiful and high quality. The blade is very sharp and excellent quality. My son loves it.

Box came scuffed and all seals broken. It is obviously a return. Which stinks as its 2 days before xmass and cant order a new gift like this in time. It smells a bit odd and it's all cheaply made. Scuffs on everything the blade is roughly made and looks cheap. Blade handle is cheap and fragile. The wood bowl is cheap with glue visible. Bags that hold things dirty. And the wax container was open. All feeling unsanitary for things that would go on the skin. I would be so embarrassed to give this to anyone.
