Product description Review: Delicious lightly toasted taste- amazing for dressing/ dips and hummus of course - Hands down THE BEST TAHINI EVER. It’s rich and creamy with just enough toasted taste before it gets that gross over cooked taste. This is amazing for goddess dressing, or mixed with some olive oil lemon salt and herbs if you want - awesome for vegggie dip, veggie burger toppings, salad dressing….. soooooo good! I found about this brand from Americas test kitchen actually and I use this to make hummmus , but loved the taste, creamy constancy I branched out and made dressings/ dips with it. Sooooo good. Hope this helps! Review: I've tried many; settled on Baron's - This is the second time I have ordered Baron's tahini. It is excellent, consistent in totally smooth texture, no burdensome messy mixing required. Just spoon it out easily, top of the jar to bottom. I like that it is unsalted, so I can control what amount, and what source, of saltiness goes into various recipes. A tad of Himalayan pink salt lights up this tahini for hummus and some salad dressings, whereas a few drops of fish sauce along with garlic and lemon, etc., makes it a dip for wontons, crab puffs, spring rolls, etc. A "sesame on sesame" spread is another favorite -- toast raw sesame seeds with some sea salt (& black ground- or red-flaked pepper for the not fainthearted). Mix it in equal proportions into the tahini for a crunchy spread on toasted pitas, hot hamburger or veggie patties, etc. Deliciously versatile, dependable high quality and ease of use, as well as competitively priced. I highly recommend it.

I've tried many; settled on Baron's

Thinner consistency, full of flavor
This tahini is only slightly thinner in consistency than some other brands after thoroughly mixing the oil and solids (for example, Joyva or Roland) with this product having an edge on the other brands in that it didn't completely separate and is much easier to work with. It has a nice flavor and does not have an overly bitter aftertaste. Upon opening, it has a clean, rich sesame aroma. One of the jars in my order leaked during transport (inner seal leaked). I recommend ordering this item separately from other items that might become ruined by oil. The price is a terrific value, especially for an organic product. Expiration date on my order is well into the future. Jar does not indicate that it needs to be refrigerated after opening. Jar with snap on lid is no better or worse than other products I've used. Will order this again when I need more tahini. tip: when using tahini in a recipe like hummus, 'break' the tahini first with your lemon juice (or other liquid) and mix it really well before adding or processing your other ingredients. It will aid in making a smoother final dish.

Delicious but messy
This tahini is delicious. I have used this brand for a few years now. It’s excellent. I highly recommend it. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that in packing and shipping, the bottle(s) were compressed, so there was tahini all over the inside of box and the other items in the box. I love tahini but not like this…what a mess.

A VERY GOOD TAHINI!!
It's so hard to rate the flavor of tahini because tahini by it's very nature is a rather bland food. But with all it's blandness, it is an essential ingredient in hummus and a few other food items. Without it, you simply would not have the dish you started out to make. I have tried my hand at making my own tahini but by the time you get the sesame seeds, roast them, then grind and pulverize them into a paste, it really is not worth all the hassle (hehee, I got to use one of my favorite old hippie words) when you can just buy a quality ready made tahini like this. I love hummus so I buy a lot of tahini. I spent a considerable amount of time looking for that perfect balance of flavor and price. I'm pretty sure now that the search is over. P.S. tahini on rye crisp is a great healthy snack!! Thanks //(~_~)\\ AU

Thin consistency but BIG flavor and convenience (with a RECIPE recommendation)
This tahini is really easy to use because of its liquid consistency. No more trying to stir in the thick tahini stuck in a bottom of a jar. It is so easy to mix into soups and salad dressings. If you love tahini and spinach, try the New York Times Spinach-And-Cilantro Soup with Tahini and Lemon. Wow! The only down side to this product in my mind is that the top does not screw on and off, but has to be lifted off and on. The container and the top are plastic. The top is very narrow, so you probably will have to wipe tahini off the container and the top before putting the top back on (if you are a messy cook like me).

Great Customer Service and Great taste!
After receiving a damaged product, the seller quickly contacted me and resolved the issue by sending me a new bottle. Sam was very professional and determined to make my experience positive. I made my hummus and baba ghanoush with this tahini and everyone LOVED it!! I have made these dips before but never received so many compliments like I did this time. The quality of the tahini is the main ingredient that makes or breaks these dishes. I will definitely be ordering it again. Thanks again "Great Ones For You" for fixing the problem and for providing a great product.

Changing my review from 2 stars to 5 stars.
Original review was two stars because damage of the product in shipment but all shipments have arrived in damaged since then. Baron's USDA Organic Tahini Pure Sesame Paste Personally, the challenge in deciding which brand of tahini to buy has always not been quality - because all organic tahini is pretty much the best quality. All organic tahini brands being equal, the issue is how much the tahini lumps and hardens at the bottom of the container. This can be irritatingly problematic. The trick is to store the tahini upside down for a couple weeks before it is opened and used. Only turn it upside down and store it in your refrigerator if you don’t plan on using it for like more than two months. If you turn it upside down and put it in the refrigerator, tahini will de-lump many times slower than at room temperature. However, some tahini brands “de-lump “ faster than others when stored upside down. Baron's USDA Organic Tahini Pure Sesame Paste has a commendable combination of low price AND fast/thorough “de-lumping“ when compared to other brands. After being stored upside down, the separation between the oil and the “meat” of the sesame seed is reduced to the point that it is easy to mix to a smooth consistency. Tahini, of course, is one of the major ingredients in hummus, along with chickpeas. My mother taught me how to make hummus using organic ingredients about 20 years ago so I’ve been making it myself ever since. Tahini is a seed butter that is high in fat content but the fat is mostly medium chain triglycerides (MCT’s). A June 2016 study published in the Journal of Lipid Research shows that MCTs enter your cells easily without being broken down because they don’t have to bind with proteins to be metabolized. This allows them to be used as an immediate source of energy, while also reducing the likelihood they will be stored as excess fat. If you want a detailed/complete list of the nutritious content of tahini, you can find that data easily on the web.
