At first, I was pretty skeptical about how sturdy these hangers would be. Many times, when you see plastic hangers, they are flimsy and break easily. That is not the case with these babies! The plastic on these is pretty tough and sturdy, I am pleasantly surprised at HOW sturdy. The hinges where it bends and folds up are made of metal pins and seem to be pretty durable, I think that they will hold up to many opening and closings.When I ordered these, I did not quite understand what they meant by adult and child sized hanger, I thought that you would have to buy either or, but when I started unfolding them, I realized that each hanger can be either an adult size or a child size, depending on how far you fold it out! Amazing! Where were these things when MY kids were little?! I can't help but think that these would be a terrific baby gift for someone, especially those who enjoy travel, but even just for their child's closet at home because these will grow with the kids clothes and when you are not using them, they can fold up and be put away until you need to bring more out.Since we really enjoy our vacations, and often are staying in hotels on an Island that we just bring our bikes across the ferry to, we like to pack our things light, in backpacks, and then hang things up when we get to the hotel. There are never enough hangers for 4 peoples clothes in any of the hotel closets that I have been to, so these are a fantastic product for us! Once folded down, you can pack them in your duffel bag or backpack and they will take up very little room-about the size of a Pringle can if you keep them all together. I prefer to just tuck them in where ever I can find a bit of space. Obviously, the will work well to pack in larger suitcases or carry on bags too.The hangers, when folded all of the way out to the adult size, have dips in them which make it easier to hang shirts or dresses that have only straps. They will be secure and the will not slip off of the hanger and end up on the floor of the closet when you aren't looking, I know the frustration of having a dress all picked out to wear to dinner, and getting back from your day outings to find that while you were gone it fell off and is now all wrinkled and smelly from the hotel carpet, yuck right? The top of the hanger is built a bit smaller than the normal ones, it had to stretch a bit to fit on our closet rod at home, but hotel rods are almost always skinnier. Anyone who spends much time in hotels sees that their hangers have much smaller hooks, I presume to stop people from stealing them because they won't fit on your rod back home. These hooks are in between what you would find in a normal hanger and what you would find in a hotel.I did receive these hangers free or at a discount in exchange for an honest review, but I will probably be purchasing another set because I like them so much-I may even pick up some for gifts as my parents and many of my friends also travel frequently. I am really pleased with the quality of these little buggers and the ease of use and versatility. Kudos to the person that came up with this idea!

When I travel the hotel rooms never seem to have enough hangers. It's not realistic for me to pack hangers due to the amount of space they take up in my suitcase. When I came across these hangers I was excited because they solved a problem for me. The overall quality of the hangers is good. They are sturdy enough to hold up to 10 pounds and compact enough to fit in my suitcase without taking up much room.They are easy to fold and have done a good job holding my winter clothing.
