PS Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Maintenance Cleaning Kit

I got this to take care of my tai chi long sword. It's very handy to have everything in a nice compact box. The wooden box is very nice with Japanese writing on lid. The rice paper is great for applying the oil. I can reuse one piece of rice paper over and over. The powder ball applicator is nice when I need to do a more intense cleaning. I had to go on the internet to see videos on proper sword cleaning and care as this is my first sword.

The cleaning kit is everything you need for your katana! The kit has all of the tools for the job. The tools do there duties greatly. I definitely recommend this kit for any katana owner who needs to clean their sword.

My only issue is that the oil is not in a leak proof bottle and it leaked into the plastic bag it was shipped in. Otherwise, this is a nice set.

They are made smaller now as you can see from the photo it's the one on the right side. I order for students, but everything is included the only downside is the oil bottle cap wasn't closed and a little spilled out. A great kit for cleaning katana and excellent tool to keep swords clean and ready to use...

Typical sword maintenance kit, nothing special. The reason for the low marks was that within the sealed box was the one big bottle of Choji Oil of which half was missing. Seems the factory could not be bothered to tighten the lid of said oil bottle, so now the missing oil is soaked into the wooden box. That does not make this a value to lose half the oil is shipment. Oh well, such is life, from now on I'll just use talc and food grade mineral oil and save myself the hassle.

It looks really nice, but the oil leaked everywhere and I can't even use the powder.

A good product got what I paid for as described in ad well worth the money.
