Makes my bedroom so cold it is amazing. Currently having a uk heatwave and this is perfect, works like a dream and makes the bedroom so cold to sleep in. Definitely recommend

I didn't expect it to be whisper quiet but I was hoping the unit could be ran in Cool Mode while I slept. However there's no way I could sleep with the unit on. I haven't tried it out properly but it doe's cool the bedroom down very well so pre-cooling might work ok. Set up was very easy however the window kit doesn't work for me due to the type of window I have. Sleep mode just lowers the unit light level down and sets the Fan speed to low but it's way too noisy to keep running over night. I've given an overall score of 4 stars because the unit works very well ,as expected . It's the noise level for me which is a shame.

Meaco make the best equipment! It’s top quality and it works. It easily cools the space I need. It is very loud! I would not use it in a room I was sitting in even in the quieter of the two modes. I knew all this before buying it.

We live in a modern flat in London with triple glazed windows. Great for during Winter and we've never had to pay for heating. However, on warmer days the flat retains all heat and ends up hotter than outside with no air flow. Currently with the heatwave the temperature has been over 30 degrees and we've been melting in the flat, unable to sleep during the hot nights. We decided we'd had enough and would invest in a portable air conditioner. We did our research and decided to go with Meaco. Very reasonably priced when you start comparing with others on the market. Also, on the smaller and lighter side when comparing to other units which can be around/over 30kgs. This unit is 23kgs and on wheels so it's easy to push around. We've been moving it from bedroom to living room depending on where we want the AC running. With Amazon the unit arrived in 2 days! Amazing. So easy to set up. We didn't have to read any instructions and had it set up in minutes. It immediately starts to cool the room down. Unexpectedly came with a free window kit compatible with our windows which open inwards. These cost about 20 pounds on Amazon so saved us that additional cost. But in all honesty we were so keen to get started we used the AC without the window seal and it still works fantastically to cool down our bedroom. If you can't be bothered with the faff of the window seal kit don't worry as it still works well! I know some have mentioned that the unit is noisy but all I can say to that is what do you expect from an AC unit. It's going to of course make some noise. We haven't found this to be a problem and we easily can fall asleep to it. My boyfriend and I are ecstatic with our purchase. The rest of the UK will be sweltering over the next week and we'll be relaxing calmly in the cool provided by Maeco. 10/10 would recommend.

It blows very cold air, very, very loudly in all settings…..58db on my iPhone db app. Don’t expect a conversation and turn the tv volume up, up, up! Can’t imagine trying to sleep with this on any setting, it’ll stay in the lounge. Louvers can be angled up or down, not side to side, once adjusted these are fixed. I Placed a 8” fan directly in front of the cold fair flow with oscillating on, this helps share the cool air round the room. The outlet hose is huge and not very flexible, nor very long. The window fitting provided needs attaching to your window frame, with Velcro sticky strips. We managed to get the hose about 1m away from the window and closed the curtains. Because the hose is so bulky it is a hassle to put the hose out and bring in when you want to secure your windows. Not tried the dehumidifier as this needs an outlet hose attachment. This was supposed to be quiet ish. If buying again, I’d just find the cheapest and ignore all the “it’s quiet” speel. I should have heeded the other reviews warning of the noise

Does the job but the unit is very loud

Life saver in this crazy heat. Brings the room temperature down quickly to a comfortable level If I had to buy another portable AC would I go for this one or try another one? Ans: this one unless the price has increased materially from my initial purchase (price anchoring)

The air conditioner was quick to set up in a formerly hot loft office and is now blowing out plenty of cool air and doing a great job. I am particularly impressed by the two window attachments (1) sash windows (2) other windows. I have top-hinged roof lights. Installation was simple: stick velcro on three sides of the frame and three sides of the roof-light, then attach the seal, and open the zip to fit the pipe expelling hot air.
