I didn’t read the dimensions closely so I was (pleasantly) surprised at how big this puzzle is. I’m including a pic to show scale. Super chunky and great for early toddler age! Like all Melissa & Doug toys, this wooden puzzle is high quality and will hold up through lots of playtime!

These puzzles were great and worth the money. The big handles on each piece helps my 1.5 year old use them with ease. The thick pieces hold up well and make them very durable, and the size makes them easy to put together. The colors are very bright and fun, and he loves the animals. Overall, I think this is a great toy for 1-2 year olds.

This is a three piece Melissa and Doug knob puzzle featuring pets. It is made of what appears to be plywood sandwiched between particle board, and the illustrations are stickers. Mine has two cracks between the dog and the other two animals. I don't know if it is a defect or just how they are produced. Because of the materials used (ie, the stickers for the art), it likely will sustain some damage if your child is a chewer, but otherwise it seems sturdy. It is a nice first puzzle. My nearly 1 year old daughter really enjoys playing with it.

So far so good, I will update with any changes. I really wanted to review for amazons amazing customer service. I received the product initially and it was damaged, I let amazon know and not even 48 hours later I had a replacement product on my doorstep. I really like this product. The little one hasn’t played with it yet because it is a gift but I’ve looked at it and it seems pretty sturdy. The knobs are secure and the paper is intact to the wood. I really think we will get years of use out of this. This is obviously a toy that requires supervision for the young ones because I imagine excessive drool could affect the puzzle pieces if, you know, they keep putting them in their mouth. Our plan is to use it and another puzzle we bought for a little bit each day to help with motor skills. Also if it matters to you, it’s really cute and with the wooden handles, it’s not something I will mind being in my living room. It has bright colors and my baby saw it as I was unboxing it and was immediately interested .

I found that it’s a very chunky puzzle. My 15 month, who is usually very good at doing puzzles, struggles to work on this one, merely because the size of each piece is too big.

Grande fan di tutto che è di marca Melissa & Doug, ho comprato questo puzzle per il mio bimbo di 20 mesi. I knob sono grandi, facile tenere in mano, immagine dei tre animali carini e facilmente riconoscibile e come detto, molto robusta e resistente. Visto che il bimbo ha capito dopo poche tentativo come finire il puzzle, penso che lo userà spesso per battere i pezzi insieme perché fanno un 'bellissimo' rumore bello forte.

Avevo comprato il puzzle della stessa serie ma con gli animali della foresta ad un prezzo scontato, la mia bimba ci gioca e gli piace e i disegni sono carini, così ho pensato di prenderne un altro anche perchè ognuno ha solo 3 soggetti e risulta troppo easy. Questo però è ancora più grande e pesante e per il prezzo pieno non credo ne valga la pena, in più il pezzo che è arrivato a me non era nenache intagliato bene. Anche i disegni degli animali sono più belli quelli della foresta. Forse meglio altre marche, vedi Goula, che ha più scelta e vari gradi di difficoltà.
