Repel Insect Repellent Sportsman Max Formula, Repels Mosquitoes, Ticks and Gnats, Effective Long-Lasting Protection, 40% DEET (Aerosol) 6 fl Ounce (Pack of 2)

More effective than other formulas, even my own concoctions. Product is effective as advertised. In Central Florida near Tampa Bay, we get LOTS of "biting knats" attacking our ankles as the sun starts down and mosquitos are relentless. Our mosquitos (and knats) defy the public literature saying they can't maneuver in high winds. I've literally watched them hover in front of strong fans as they size me up for attack! Repel Plant-Based Lemon Eucalyptus Mosquito spray works like a charm for reasonable periods of time and smells okay too. This product like other natural mosquito repellents, requires reapplying at various intervals depending on the appetite of your mosquitoes. I use the non aerosol version for greater value and reapplications don't bother me. As a Florida native, I'm quite used to it and prefer not to use deet unless doing a deep-woods dive or spending time in swampy areas. I have not tested this natural formula and swampy areas yet those are places I prefer to have absolute coverage and protection. The value of purchasing the four pack is quite good at its price point. The non-aerosol little bottles tend to last quite a while. I highly recommend this product anywhere in mosquito-land as well as it's big brother, Repel Insect repellent Sportsman Max with 40% Deet (see pic).

This worked great for a group of us hiking in high-tick country. Not only did none of use pick up a tick, not even on our clothing, but we did not have any mosquito bites. We applied to our shoes, ankles, hats, and on our clothing near the leg and arm holes. Also sprayed some on our hands and rubbed it gentled on our faces. This worked and it washed off in the shower later with no problem. Did not have a burning feeling like some other sprays as we were walking and hiking. I was sweating quite a bit, and the protection continued. There is a slight smell, but not bad. It was not, however, so easy to use. The sprayer was not great and it would rotate as you pressed down on it. It would also spray off to one side or the other after several uses (clogged?). Which is hard to unclog in the woods. It is also hard to aim with one hand, and accurately on your face when it is spraying one way then the other. The price is also a little expensive considering they are small. But these work so if you are willing to pay a little extra, you can get the protection you need. I will be purchasing again, despite the problems and price, I knew what I was buying when I bought it and the product did what it was supposed to. So I am a happy customer!

Everything bites me, but not with this. I've tried many brands, but this one works best. Though it does have an alcohol scent, I do not smell like a flea collar as with the other brands!

Too early to tell.

Product was good and the price was very reasonable

This stuff is a life saver! I'm the person mosquitos bite when nobody else gets it. In fact, my husband doesn't have to worry about bug spray as long as I'm around. Neither do my friends. They will zoom in on me from miles away & they think I'm the prime rib on an all you can eat buffet. I've tried every spray, lotion, oil, candle, plant, etc known to man & I still get tore up. That's where Repel sport comes in. If this stuff prevents me from getting bit, it'll work for anyone! I can put this on in the early morning & stay mosquito free all day! I do reapply if I sweat or go swimming, but I can finally enjoy my patio again! I'm not exaggerating when I say they seek to destroy me. Somehow they even get in my house daily, & eat me alive if I'm not wearing Repel. I sit on the couch with a light blanket on me to try to keep them off. I even get bit through my jeans. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a little itch for a minute and gone, but no. Its not like that for me. I swell up & itch & hurt for a week with every bite. I have about 30 bites on me right now, but that's my fault. I didn't put my bug spray on Saturday evening while I was outside. I keep a bottle of this on my patio, a bottle with my camping gear, & take a bottle with me anytime I plan to be outdoor. Life is miserable without it.

Excellent product

I purchased this two-pack of insect repellant and just opened the vacuum-sealed plastic to use today. I noticed that one of the bottles was not spraying the repellant, while the other one did. I unscrewed the cap of the faulty one to discover this (see pictures): it does not contain the proper straw to collect the repellant for effective spray-mechanics. It does not even have the straw detached and floating inside the bottle. I'll be using the functional bottle until I can sort out with the seller how they would like to remedy this. The reason why I gave this product three stars is that despite the defective second bottle, the product is effective and smells fine. I am glad that I chose this particular brand.
