OTC 6550PRO Professional Master Fuel Injection Service Kit

I was on the hunt for a complete fuel injector test kit. I had an older Mac tools kit that was OK, but was always needing adapters that I didn't have in the kit to complete the connection.After searching around and talking to a few other techs, I decided on the OTC 6550Pro based on their recommendations.I have had it about two weeks and so far, it has not let me down.The included book is very detailed with vehicle fuel system pressures through MY 2008.The pieces are well made and connections have been tight with no leaks.This unit sells in many places for over $400. Best price found was on Amazon.If you are tired of having an incomplete fuel service kit, buy this one. You won't be disappointed.Update: 6/3/2018: The pressure gage recently quit working properly so I ordered a replacement. I have been using this since I order it in 2013 and it still is working great. I see the price has gone up a lot since I ordered it in 2013 and paid only $281. Still a great complete setupdate 5/27/2020. Still using this weekly and it is still working great. It has paid for itself many times over since purchasing it in 2013 for $281. Highly recommend

Better than the kits sold through MAC tools, Snap on and other no-name kits I have used over the years. All the fittings are well made, no leaks, the guage is large, accurate and fine enough in the 0-10 psi range that it still works well as a low pressure gauge for carburetor and TBI applications. The hoses are small and stiff enough that they don't get pinched shut when running the hose through the wiper cowl area to watch pressures on a test drive. I like that the common shrader valve style adapters have 2 options, a 90 degree adapter and a straight hose whip adapter, this makes hookup on some applications so much easier. Great pricing through Amazon.com, I would buy it again in a second.

Excellent quality product. All of the others I've seen and even tried were junk. The valve especially was total garbage on the other units, leaking after one turn. OTC's quality for this kit is very good. Fittings are brass and valved. Quick disconnects are high quality too. The OTC 6550PRO is the way to go. I wouldn't buy the smaller OTC kits. I paid just under $300 and it was well worth it. The ONLY complaint I have is that there needs to be more early Porsche adapters for CIS systems. You have to do more work than should be necessary to get it set up. Other than that at $300 it is a bargain.

Great set, very complete, This set appears high quality however one of the hoses fell off my bench and the quick connect sleeve bent enough that I couldn't use it. I spent thirty minutes trying to bend it back so I could continue my diagnosis. My point is that this product is very expensive and should be able to tolerate everyday shop conditions. It didn't hold up to a single hose drop from 4 feet the first time I used it. That says something to me about the quality of the materials that make up this kit. I still recommend this kit because most of us don't have any other choices. Be careful with it. It's fragile.

Previously purchased the cheaper S&G ToolAid fuel pressure tester. That used threaded connections and had leak issues along with some other quality control issues.Tried using this and was way easier with the quick disconnects and was able to hook it up to a 92 ford ranger. No leaks and was easy to connect and disconnect.

Great tool for a great price at amazon. I'm a technician and can tell u first hand this kit is the best bang for ur buck if u work on cars for a living. Has all connectors that u need and half the price of strap on uhh I mean snap on. I would recommend buy otc tools anytime. Just because it doesn't say mac or snap on doesn't mean its not a good product. I also priced this kit from a local tool truck and it was around 450 bucks so amazon is the cheapest I found. So bottom line is it is cheapest price for this set and quality is excellent and shipping was fast

Made in Taiwan. There is no way to hook it up to a '97 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L with no Schrader test port or any other GM vehicle with similar setup. You have to pull the fuel filter. This OTC kit doesn't work with the 3/8" flare fitting on one side of the fuel filter and quick-disconnect on the other. I think this OTC kit is overpriced and overated. This kit couldn't accomplish what a $100 master kit from Harbor Freight could.

I've been a mechanic for nearly 30 years and Finally i have a decent fuel tester, been using old ac gauges which worked ok, but now i have all these adapters and can trust my gauge. Cant figure out why they don't have more adapters for the fuel filters but maybe someone will come out with an add on. Other than that i'm very pleased. Would give it a 5 if it had more of the gm adapters. Well since owning this for a little over a month now i can give a little better review. First off the quick disconnects were very tight and i had to use a wrench to get some of them disconnected. A little Vaseline and they work fine. Second the fuel bypass valve that goes to the clear hose doesn't work on anything over 30 psi. Can't figure that out, I can use and air hose and blow through the quick disconnect hose and press the button down and it will break loose and blow the line out then i can use it to get a flow reading but it doesn't work every time. I tried trans fluid and PB blaster into the valve but it didn't work. I guess i have a bad valve cause i tried a Mac and that valve works fine. Gonna do some more checking i might be sending this in to get another valve or whole new kit.

The kit is very complete, and the manual that comes with it is current to 2013. I wish that a standard fitting would be used so any older equipment can be also utilized.
