My long search was rewarded!
I needed a heavy-duty flat-screen mount with a slightly-unusual range of motion. But it didn't appear that most - or at times, ANY mounts were available for my specific needs. Not only is this VIVO mount THE ONE, but - after using it for a couple of weeks, we're really happy with this one. I needed a mount which would work for a 50" screen, but would allow it to pull out from under a built-in cabinet and then cantilever the screen UP. Most mounts can't do this. But this VIVO cantilever mount has that range of motion, AND the ability to handle a screen this size (a Samsung which weighs just under 30 pounds.) Really easy to install, but in our case it was particularly easy as my home is a solid cedar log home. So - just carefully measured precisely where I'd need it for optimal clearance, bolted it in and that was that. It's strong, there's no give, it's clearly well-engineered and constructed - and after making tension adjustments, even my son and wife can easily manipulate it. Up, down, in - or back under the cabinet - and pivoting to optimal side-to-side angles for viewing from whatever seat in the room requires it, all easily done. All in all, I'm really REALLY pleased with this mount. And - it was very reasonably priced, too! Here's to happy viewing...my long search for the mount that would do all I needed ended VERY well. Bravo VIVO!

Awesome Solution to Hide our TV
We used this mount to place a 32" TV inside a built-in cabinet next to our fireplace. This is our formal living room and we didn't want a big TV sitting around, so we decided to hide it in the cabinet. I found this idea online and decided that for the small investment, it would be worth the effort (please note, we are having an electrical outlet installed inside the cabinet). Despite some of the horror stories in previous reviews, I decided to take the chance on this device. I was a bit of a challenge locating the studs behind the solid, 1" thick, wood paneling, but I was finally successful. The main mounting screws were a bit of a bear to screw in, but that is the purpose of a solid connection. I was fortunate in that the main, flat mounting plate for the TV fit our little TV perfectly and I did not have to add the extension. After that, the installation went very smoothly. It was a bit of a balancing act to get the TV to sit level, but I was successful. I highly suggest looking at the instructions prior to installation; perusing the other reviewer's comments for insights/tricks; and watching any video tutorials. This device really did the trick for us - good luck!

Great product especially for price
A very well made product especially given the price . I was looking for an articulating and height adjustable mount for my TV to make cable installation easier and also to allow easy adjustment of height. Now its up it works very well, Some tips bear in mind, but bear in mind the price point and don't let this put you off. Reading the reviews on Amazon helped (1) Instructions are small and pictorial, some narrative would be helpful but you can figure it out. (2) The height adjustment resistance screw -its set for a very heavy TV I think and you have to turn it a lot for more normal TV weights (-ve direction-arrows provided), but just keep at it (3) the latching mechanism for the TV to the bracket is a little awkward and definitely takes two people (as instructed), but is secure. Put the nuts on the top threaded studs loosely before latching (4) A template etc to figure out the position of the TV vs the mount position would be helpful and also for marking the wall. I undid the allen key/lock nut to remove the wall mount bracket completely which makes it easier to handle for wall fixing then reattached the arm. Don't lose the plastic washers, I traced the flattened arm on cardboard to figure out dimensions. It is slightly off centre (1-11/2") when folded flat against wall so I mounted it accordingly. All in all a great product.

Perfect design
Excellent product. Work perfectly as a single-stud mount, and tuning the screw for the pneumatic lift was simple, a perfectly engineered product! Different heights shown in pictures.

Great mount for TV. Versatile movement makes this small mount take the place of much larger and more expensive mounts
Works beautifully. This mount has a 24" arm, which. for the price, is the longest I can find. Note: the wall anchors included did hold the mount and TV on drywall, but when trying to lower the TV with the adjustment on the mount lowered, did not. Clip mount mollies had to be substituted to work on the drywall so the mount could ve placed where it was needed. Also, the wire holders under the arm was too small to hold the 3 wires needed so wire ties around the arms were necessary to hold them neatly, but diminished the clean appearance. Also note that that TV's weigh less than they did for the most part, and adjusting the pressure on the gas spring took many turns to lower it from the maximum, as shipped, to get the tension lowered enough to be usable. Be sure to lower the adjustment before installing. Once installed, the mount has great versatility for the TV placement.. I am very impressed with it.

The product is a good concept. I read other reviews with the primary criticism being the tightening screw was problematic but workable. For example, one review said they had to turn the screw over 40 times and another review said they had to turn the screw for 10 minutes. This obviously is a significant design flaw. But the overall value of the product seemed worth this inconvenience. When I received the product I was not able to get the allen wrench into the tightening/loosening screw. After many attempts and using my own allen wrench set (to see if I could find a better fit) I tried to contact customer support. This was very difficult because the box and instructions leave no contact information or website. I found the website on my own and attempted to reach customer support. They give you three ways to contact them; 1) a phone number from Europe (I think England); 2) an email; 3) a customer chat line. I tried the chat line on two different days and used the hours for Europe and East Coast US timezone...never getting a response. I sent an email and got a response about 12 hours later. That email had a customer support number. But when I called it I got no reply despite multiple calls. The email person was pleasant but not very helpful. He asked me to send him a picture of the product, even after I gave him the model number, he did not apparently know the product. After multiple emails he suggested I force the allen wrench into the hole. I used a hammer and tapped it into the tightening hole. This worked to get the allen wrench in the hole. But then turning the screw was extremely difficult. I had to use a wrench to turn it clockwise. After about 10 to 15 turns the arm did not loosen and I was still not able to turn the screw without the use of the wrench. At that point I had enough and returned the product. While the concept is good, this product has a serious design flaw that seemed to be magnified in this case. The customer support person was pleasant but too hard to reach and not very helpful.

Annoyed that the TV won't stay straight (level), but like the positioning options of this almost fully articulating mount
Mixed feelings about this mount. Pros: solid feeling and flexible Vesa options, love having multiple directions of adjustability. Cons: During mounting, you have to be aware that mounting anchor point is NOT the center of your TV. My TV's vesa holes are not centered behind the TV (they sit on the lower half), so this could also throw off your alignment a bit, as does the fact that when folded, the arm's mounting plate isn't centered in front of the anchor point... so overall, figuring out the right place to mount is a bit of a challenge if you want your TV centered in a specific spot, and I wish they could somehow make this easier to figure out. More annoying is the fact that the tiny bubble level they provide doesn't sit flat near the arm's mounting plate (where the instructions tell you to place it) because there's a rounded screw sitting right in front of that spot, and the edge of the level rests on that screw. So you'll find that as you slide the level left or right by a few millimeters, the level reading changes as it rubs up against this rounded screw. Yeah, super annoying. As if leveling this thing wasn't hard enough... and mind you, if you get it wrong and mount a large TV, it'll be OBVIOUS that it's not straight. But here's the kicker... I checked, rechecked, triple and quadruple checked, and then repeated the process in various ways with my other levels. Once I was sure it was straight, I completed the mount's installation. Then I mounted the TV... and it was STILL CROOKED!!!!! Here's what I discovered. I have a 55 inch, 32lb TV. Depending on how the arm is folded and elevated (left/right, up/down), the TV will tilt one way or the other (counterclockwise or clockwise). Meaning, it doesn't matter how straight your mount is... as you move the TV, the sheer size and weight will make it tip left or right. What I noticed on the back (near where the mount attaches to the TV) is that the mechanism that allows you till tilt or turn your TV at various angles has a pin and pivot mechanism that has a bit of give to it. Meaning, it wobbles a tiny bit. You can tell by just standing behind your TV with the arm extended, and then tilting or swiveling the TV... look at the mechanism... notice how the gaps between the metals plates here change spacing? Yeah, that appears to be why the TV rarely sits perfectly straight. I saw somewhere that there's like a +/- 3 degree tolerance or adjustment here (not sure which)... if it's adjustment, I don't really know which bolt/screw to tighten yet. If it's simply tolerance, then that sucks (because a 55 inch TV has a long enough top and bottom edge to make those 3 degrees painfully obvious that it's not straight).

This is an amazing TV mount
This TV mount is excellent. I know a lot of people claim it's hard to set up, but I had it all done in under a half an hour. It was the easiest mount I've ever done actually. It moves in every direction. Perfect if you need different viewing angles or to store against the wall. I installed it in my RV so the TV would sit against the kitchen island and it of the way when not in use, but I could pull it out and up to give a great viewing angle.

Does what it says.
So far so good. Holds the 50 inch TV pretty well. Can be fiddly to adjust position exactly as you want. But makes changing TV position very easy.

Really tough to install
This looked to be the perfect wall mount for over my fireplace. Unfortunately it took forever to install only to find out the spring in the arm is defective. What a pain!! I have to uninstall it now and return it, which will be another challenge to remove. I was recommended another model by the manufacturer, only to find out it's out of stock until the end of June!!! Not impressed.

Godd if your tv is very heavy
Returned this after I adjusted the tension to the minimum and still could not get it to move, it says from 40 inch tv but my one must have been faulty as there was too much spring tension there were also no instructions , the return process was strange as it Was delivered without any packaging but had to be returned in a box , but apart from that it was straightforward.
