Long Range WiFi and Easy Setup
Replaced my 7 year old NETGEAR router with the Nighthawk X6S AC4000 router. Setup was incredibly easy and fast. The wider range solved my skipping video problem I had with one of my Wi-Fi outside cameras. This router was a huge improvement overall. I’m glad I made the purchase.

Stops working in 3 months!
Bought a refurbished Nighthawk router. Stops working in just 3 months from purchase!! Can’t even get support from Netgear as it’s an old product.DONT BUY REFURBISHED FROM AMAZON!

I bought this router to connect to an Att gateway in a detached garage and it's running my entire network love it!

Avoid the Netgear Nighthawk
After an "expert" recommended the Nighthawk, I purchased 3 of the units. I used two at tow different work locations and one at home.I have now replaced two of them. The latest is less than one year old. The unit started to intermittently loose signal and then come back online. From the very beginning, the signal was at 1/4 strength with 25 feet of the base station, and down to about 10% at 60 feet. This is terrible! I purchased the Nighthawk because it was supposed to have a strong signal strength and doe to it's supposed dependability. None of this has proven to be the truth.I just replaced the Nighthawk with an ASUS RT-AC3100. They look the same. But the ASAS is much faster! In the same room, the ASUS is 25% faster than the Netgear, at 25 feet, it's 7 times faster than the Netgear, at 60 feet it's 12 times faster. At 100 ft.,, and outside of my home, the Netgear had no signal, but the ASUS is at 33%!Enough said. Do not by the Netgear router.
