Sam and the Bag (Green Light Readers Level 1) Paperback – Illustrated, August 1, 2004

It's so hard to find easy reader books that my kids don't find boring. This is a fun story for the beginning reader.

My 5 year old learning to read likes this book.

We got this for our first grade grandson. He remembers seeing it in his school library. It's a fun story.

My 5 year old daughter is learning to read using the book Alpha-Phonics. With this method, there are few words other than "short a" sounding words that the child can read until they get 15 or so lessons into the book. That makes it hard to find actual books that the child can read. What I like about the Green Light Readers, especially this one, is that my daughter can actually read it!Unlike most other easy reader books, this one really only requires knowing some basic phonics to get reading. My daughter was SO excited that she could read it herself. It's her favorite book to read. The cute cats in the book help her interest in reading it too.All the Green Light Readers are fantastic, but Sam and the Bag is our favorite for really early phonics learners.

My 4 year old just started reading and this is one of her favorite books. In the end, there are a few simple questions that she wants me to ask after she has read the book.Also good for show and tell, since the story by itself just has probably 6-7 sentences.

Comprei para o meu filho de 4 anos que está em uma escola bilingue. O livro é colorido e cada página tem uma frase. Pra quem está iniciando o contato com a língua inglesa achei bom.
