Hi-Line Gift Ltd Walking Fox Statue

When I saw this Statue I knew that it was a must have. A life-size fox statue, and you get your money's worth there as, taxidermy mounts this size can easily cost three to five times as much as this resin statue and can only be used indoors. I've shown several friends and relatives pictures of this fox and everyone agrees that it looks like a real fox, which is what I wanted to hear. The thumbnail on this fox statue says that it can be used indoors or out. I'm keeping mine indoors though, for as well all know things happen outside, which brings up the one not so good part about this statue. Upon unboxing, my fox's tail was cracked at the base where it joins with the body. I don't think the Styrofoam packaging protects the tail enough, there doesn't seem to be enough support at that point, and if there's any movement while in transit the tail may crack. I was able to repair the tail without any trouble with ACC glue and some touch up painting. But, at the asking price you shouldn't have to fix anything. My feeling was that with the packaging issues, you probably have just as much if a chance at a cracked tail if you return your statue, and get another in exchange. I've been building models for over fifty years, so a repair like this was more of a fun, as well as enjoyable challenge. But others may not think so. The resin is about 1/4 inch at the cracked point, so be aware that out of doors may cause damage should something fall upon your statue. The life sized and nice coloration make this a must have for the fox fanatic or, a lover of animals. The nice size will definitely make for a conversation piece. Just beware about possible damage to the tail. Otherwise, enjoy!
