Atlantic Adirondack Chair

The chair itself is beautiful, sturdy and comfortable. I would have given it a 5 star review except for one problem: the holes for the screws that attach the arms to the backrest are not drilled deeply enough for the screws to reach the insets. I had to use a dremel tool to deepen the holes by just a couple of mm. An easy fix if you have the tools, but this shouldn't happen. I mean, if they simply tried to assemble one of their own chairs they would see that this is an issue. Crazy. That said, I ordered another one.

Great chairs. Be aware, they come disassembled and unfinished. The hardware and instructions are good, but there's a lot of packaging and straps to remove. It takes about 30 min to assemble each chair. No tools needed other than what's in the box. The build quality is excellent--all the holes match up perfectly the first try, and the fasteners are easy to work with. It took me almost an hour per chair to oil them, because there's lots of small surfaces to cover.Once assembled, these are really outstanding. I get compliments all the time.

Arrived with damage, warping, NOT AS SHOWN, glue on some surfaces!If it were possible, I would give it a zero star rating. Very disappointed!!I expected a $617.00 item and this is unacceptable.

I bought two of these last year and three this year. In all cases I spent an hour per chair on average sanding out the chairs and cleaning up excess putty before applying an oil finish. After the second chair I debated buying a different brand that didn’t need additional finish work but decided to stick to the old adage “Better the enemy you know” than risk another brand I might be less happy with once I cleaned them up. After sanding, oiling and rubbing in the finish with steel wool the chairs came out like fine furniture but it took more work on my part than I would have liked.Also, the armrest design was changed in the last year or so and none of the through bolts that attach the rear of the armrest to the backrest were long enough and I had to counter sink all six screw heads myself to complete the assembly which was kind of a hassle.

Have had these four of these chairs and matching footrests since 2019. Excellent quality after one was returned for defect. Process for return was reasonable. Very solid, with classic design for a coastal New England backyard. Spouse very protective of them, and family loves them too! Need 2 more! Definitely recommend the footrests. Now looking into covers, as the great debate over weathered (no stain used) vs. stained continues..

Handsome, easy to assemble, and made to last for years. The customer service was prompt, courteous, and professional.
