I am an experienced cooK of many years and styles: American, Mexican, Portuguese, Asian. I use a lot of garlic and only the good quality fresh kind, nothing from a bottle. Well, maybe a little garlic salt! I thought this gadget might save some time chopping, I am not fond of cleaning my garlic press so I mostly use one my French knives. I was anxious to try out the "rocker" and , man, was I disappointed! I am a 240 pound man with good upper body strength but I could get only about half of each clove to go through the little holes the remainder stayed smashed on my cutting board! PASS THIS ONE BY!

Really hard to clean and doesn't work well.

Thought this would be easier than the kind you put the clove in a well and press down. Not so much. Don’t think I’ll use

I thought this would be easier to use then the old traditional garlic press. I like it. I tried to use it with a large clove but it was too difficult. So now I know to cut in half lengthwise and it worked like a charm. It sure beats hand mincing. You do need something a bit abrasive to clean it. A few pieces of garlic were difficult to get out of the tiny holes. All in all, it was a very sturdy product and I do recommend it.

This concept is good but it fails to provide the action depicted in the photos. It rolls over the garlic and does nearly nothing to it without tremendous pressure from your hand and arms. More then I Should. Hey, we’re Italian ...garlic is a mainstay so we use a lot of it. I bought 4 of these to give to kids and wife at Christmas but not making a job of cutting up fine garlic any easier

Easy to use for garlic.

I had high hopes for this garlic press but I’m back to my old one. My problem was that you have to be very strong to push down hard enough to have the cloves completely mince. I found the clove stuck to the bottom and didn’t mince.I have more leverage and no problems with a traditional garlic press.

Overall I like this but sometimes it it hard to get all the garlic minced. It is easier to clean than my traditional minded. It is sturdy. The peeler tube works fantastically!
