Great value
When the pressure test kit arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of every part of the kit including the case. The gauge is easy to read plus it comes with instructions if you’re need of help. I used it to test the cylinder pressure on one of my mowers I’m working on, and it performed great.

Perfect
Saved the disposal of a craftsman 20” 50cc. After carb rebuild, chainsaw would not accelerate with low compression the possible cause. Tester showed chainsaw having 120 lbs of compression. Following more attention to the carb, the chainsaw is ready to spend season six in the woods. The tester worked perfectly. The schrader value is at the beginning of the hose allowing for an accurate ready. The four adapters gives many options to fit various engines. The gauge is easy to read, and in my opinion, gives accurate results.

Gauge itself is good
The actual gauge appears to be well made, accurate and sturdy. However the set has 2 problems in my opinion:1. The hose is not very flexible which makes it hard to screw into spark plug holes that are in tight space and one you cannot see which is common on the drivers side when the steering column is in the way.2. The adapters are knurled which makes them very difficult to remove if they stay in the hole and only the hose comes out. I was stuck trying to get it out with a long, angles , needle nose pliers 1/8th of a turn at a time. I think it would be better if they has a hex on them so you could get a socket on them.

Quality
I purchased this tool to set top dead center on my wife's 2001 PT Cruiser and it it failed on the first use. It blew the seal on the release valve at 15psi and the gage is way off. I don't recommend waisting your money on this tool! Just my opinion!

Quality for price
My Snap On kit was stolen. Realizing I used it maybe three times per year I could not see paying that much for so little use. This kit caught my eye.I ordered it, used it within 30 minutes of getting it out of the box. Worked great, looks great, will probably do everything the Snap On did for less than half the price.

No comparison - but it worked for me
I'm not a mechanic, needed it for one job and it showed everything was fine. I have no comparison, but the adapters are definitely handy.

Not accurate BUT it is consistent
Very easy setup with some quick connect hoses and screw on adapters. As my title says this is not accurate. I'm using this on my kids Atv's. One atv works great (trx250ex). It tested out at 75-80lbs consistently. A bike wouldn't run at that compression. Realistically it's 120-150. So I used that as a baseline. My other child has a Chinese quad that died. Compression came out to 30psi. So while that's certainly wrong it is very consistent each time I tested it. I tried it felt screwed into the spark plug hole, more forcefully tightened, using the adapter, and using the rubber tip. Same reading. So I figure this particular one is around half the actual compression. It'll work for what I'm doing but if you are working on vehicles - not simple Chinese quads, I wouldn't get this.

Use this product to identify worn out engines in minutes, prior to purchasing. Or decide whether pouring cash into your old pickup truck is worth while. If it has really low compression maybe a new clutch is only part of the forward cost of maintenance.
